In today's Europa Universalis IV (EU4) video we will be changing every province in the entire world to farmlands terrain and seeing what happens. Farmlands allows for cheaper development, but at the cost of all the defensive bonuses more hilly terrains award.

Hello! APF mod maker here, just want to say thank you for making a video on the mod. I had my older APF mod showcased by Paintbrush Drew Durnil. Converting every province to different terrains always ends up with weird and wonky results. Anyways, thank you for showcasing the mod. Love ya Chewy :D

I'd love to see a twist to this idea: Every province outside of Europe is farmland, but every province in Europe is mountains. Would make for an interesting world

Do it in reverse. Make every province the worse terrain type. Not necessarily Mountains as they give good defensive buffs. Something like all Desert or Glacial. Desert is all downsides and Glacial has 1 defensive buff at the cost of less supply. Edit: Apparently Glacial has been done, then do desert, as i would argue it's so much worse than Glacial do to the Glacial terrain being good for defense (attrition hell).

@@Pendraig1400 Fine, then do Desert as I would argue it's worse than Glacial. Glacial has some great defensive bonuses from lack of supply, to slower movement and a defensive bonus. Siege and attrition hell basically. There is no bonus to desert. Or penalty to movement speed which I would argue is more of a buff, considering players used scorch earth for the movement speed penalty.

Fun fact, 's-Hertogenbosch translates to "the forrest of the duke".

Video idea, the modifiers of provinces geography are 10x, so farmlands gives -50% dev cost, well hills give +10 dice roll to defenders and whatever there defnese bonus is times 10
