In this video titled EU4 Releasables- NO ONE Told Me THIS NATION Is OVERPOWERED I do a playthrough as Transylvania after releasing it from Hungary and I try to become a great power in Europa Universalis 4 1.34 Lions of The North. This is the series titled Releasables where I attempt to play every releasable nation in EU4 or Europa Universalis 4. In this video I play as the nation of Transylvania in EU4. Tripoli means "three cities" so as Tripoli you should conquer three city that reflect its History. The province of Tarablus to reflect the Phoenician origins of the city. Constantinople for the Greek population and influence. And the last choice should be Rome (for the Roman rule of the city) or Toledo (for the Spanish crown attempts to conquer and keep the city). To spicy it up have "the knights" as your vassal (the knights occupy Tripoli for years) and conquer Malta for them.

For Tripoli : Since Tripoli means Tri-Polis (three cities), you should conquer all cities with Poli in the name : Constantinople (constantinopoli) Edirne (adrianopoli) Bolu (poli) Gelibolu (Galipoli) Tarabulus Al sham (Tripoli in lebanon) Naples (Neapoli) Felibe (Filipopoli) Nigbolu (Nicopoli) This way it will be challenging, you will have to fight Naples, the Ottomans and the Mamluks, 3 strong nations in the med but not too hard to defeit either (lets ignore the russian cities such as Kargopol, conquering from Lybia to Novgorod would be boring)

Hesse is the only german HRE minor that starts with +1 dip rep as their tradition. Cilli has the same tradition but is not in the german culture group so they don't reall yget elected early on.

Tbh with that many forts. It might have been a good idea to start with defensive. The morale will win you most battles and the fort maintenance will be noticeable. Not an idea group I use often in the ealy game, but this start could do with it.

If you're feeding a vassal some provinces (non cores) in a war, it's cheaper (warscore) to take all the provinces for yourself and then grant your vassal whichever provinces you wanted to give them after the peace deal. Not sure why this is, but it does make a small difference so you can take more territory.

Every time Hawk vassalizes in a situation where he can just take all their land and release them, I cry. They will start friendly and loyal as opposed to immediately hostile. Also they will reset their ideas and tech.

Not a real goal, but just a suggestion - as Tripoli don't be in a rush to annex Tunis. Extend their suffering and even relese them from any opportunists before pouncing on them yourself. Oh, and can you raid their coasts? Do that! And then send Laith detailed report of how you bodied his country.

I have had that happen too. Seems to happen randomly but know this Tunis raids almost all of Southern Europe, especially if they conquer Tlemcen and Morocco. Meaning they anger the French, Italians and Iberians.

This tag represents the Principiality of Transylvania, which was originally ruled by John Zápolya, then subsequent Hungarian rulers. The ruling class was all but Orthodox, hence it's accurate. If you check other start dates in the game, it even becomes protestant in later centuries, as per history.
