Makes total sense the Mass is there to receive Jesus and i have found that every time i receive Jesus in the Holy Eucharist i will become more like him. My mind will be opened more. I can see it in my life. Its not something that just happened it takes time and ti keep going and going and the more we eat the body of Jesus the more we will be more like him. Thats just how i feel it.
I have read that book of over 200 miracles. I did notice a whole gaggle of miracles in the 13 and mostly the late 1400's into 1500's just prior to the reformation. That in itself was telling that we were being warned.
There actually is an explanation why intinction is not practiced. A drip of the precious blood from the host is common and difficult to catch on a Patton.
