I’ve had mine for a couple of days and I found that it’s very, VERY sensitive but the other issues you’ve mentioned I haven’t seen them. I’ve been quite happy and impressed with them so far, much more than I was expecting. I turned the sensitivity way down and I haven’t had any false triggers. I also have motion snoozed for upstairs where are are during the day but have them set to detect and record the basement where no one usually goes and no one should be most of the day. The detection zone is VERY broad and I like that the responsiveness is so good. I get notifications almost instantly and the feed shows up almost immediately without 30 seconds of lag like our other cameras used to have. It’s worth mentioning that if you add them to your HomeKit your recordings are stored there so that’s another option that better than paying for storage. I’m looking forward to when they include HomeKit in their doorbell so I can get rid of the one we have now as well as it’s subscription, LOL!!

How is the speaker when trying to talk thru it? I've tried a few different ones and everytime I try to talk thru it, the audio is very distorted.

Hi, I was wondering if you are able to adjust the camera to look at just a small area? I have a cat that pushes buttons to communicate and I just need the camera to video say a 4’ x 10’ swath. Also, do you know how I might get the video to where I can upload it to my RU-vid channel? Will it be on my phone if I have set it to alert me? Sorry for the questions but I’m not familiar with these sorts of security type cameras, but I really need to figure out how to record to get my videos on my channel. Thanks so much!

Hi, I already have the Eufy 2 Pro system. I have automatic CNC milling machines in my workshop and I want to check on their progress without having to keep going out to my workshop in the evenings or at night. After watching your video I've decided this camera is good for the job, especially useful is the 2 way sound, now my wife will be able to call me in for diner and I'll be able to listen to my machines from indoors. Thanks for the video, I found it very useful. I'll be ordering this camera later today.

Nice video. For the short time period, you covered a lot. You asked about other, similar cameras of interest. I would point you to the Wyse Pan Cam and the Reolink (4MP or 5MP version) as top contenders. Motion Tracking, whether AI or Pixel controlled, does seem to be problematic for all PTZ cameras, but for my purposes, that is the way I will be going, with hopes that future firmware updates will improve performance. Again, thank you for the work.

Thanks for the detailed review. Just wondering if the sporadic jumping around issue was ever fixed by Eufy. I'll admit, that was kinda creepy watching it "watch tv" until you came into range, then it followed you. 😲 Question about the SD card. Can you put the SD card into a PC to see the footage on it?

Great review. How do you feel about the Indoor Cam 2k? What SD card do you recommend for local storage? Would you recommend the Indoor Cam 2k for a garage (summers where I live get up to 115°)? Do I need anything else beside the cameras in order for them to work? Apologies for so many questions. You help us greatly appreciated

I have two of them combined with the security kit that has homebase 2. This is a great camera for a low price. It does what it needs to do. It does come without a micro-sd card that you problably want. Weak is that if someone steals the camera you don't have access to the video anymore, so when you get notified make sure to press download (to your phones album). An optional Homebase does not solve this problem despite it's storage 😞 Cloud storage does solve that but that is costing quickly a decent amount. But having said that, for a camera pointed to your frontdoor from the inside, this is a good and cheap solution.

I've just been reading about this camera and people say they can NOT turn of the motion tracking pan & tilt? It there no toggle switch to just have it as stationary camera and not have it looking around the room (and watching ceiling fans and TV)?

Looks similar to an ezvids pan and tilt I bought. Question, does it have an option to rotate the image so you can mount it from the ceiling? If it does, I plan on getting one just due to the 2k resolution! Thanks Steve, keep the new product reviews coming.

I just purchased this camera because is the cheapest one can get to work with Homekit secure video, I'll see how it goes. I suppose this can record to iCloud with the next release of iOS and tvOS

Thanks for a great video, good to see the actual quality and capabilities of the pan and tilt! I've just bought the 2c kit and am so very impressed! Looking to add a few indoor camera and this looks like it would be perfect. Hope you don't mind I have a few questions; Does this cam have the ability to store footage to the homebase like the 2c cameras? If you set it to home/away via the app will it activate/deactivate with the outdoor cameras? Will I get push motion alert notifications when it's triggered? Does it record footage constantly or only when the motion detector is triggered? Sorry for all the questions, am pretty new to these! Thanks for your time.

How would you compare the new Eufy Cam 2k to the Arlo Pro3. I am also curious as to if you can use CVR with a RSTP or NAS device. This could be a great alternative to things like Arlo charing 9.99 per camera for CVR

Excellent review.. Informative.. Does it need continuous charging? Or for few hours only and then can disconnect charging?

I'm not Steve, but I know the camera needs continuous power connection to operate. If you want to dispense with that, or only need occasional use, look into a battery powered unit. I think Blink makes one, but I don't think it has pan/tilt.

I like the camera clarity and HomeKit compatibility but don’t like the ceiling mount setup where you end up with an exposed USB cable behind the camera - they should’ve hidden the cable exit so you don’t see it when you mount it on the ceiling.

I miss one thing within all reviews on security cameras all over the youtube is: How fast it changes from night to day vision in case if you turn on the light. I'm looking for security camera that will change mode instantly as I have sensor to turn all lights whenever someone enter the office.

Denis Josifoski it changes pretty fast at least on my other eufy cams. Within a few seconds of instant dark. If it’s outside and at dawn or dusk it usually uses the ir cam over color

Do I need the Euphy hub or some Apple hub or something in order to use this thing or can I just plug it in, connect it to my wifi system and then communicate with it through the app? I Have a service provider that I would like to check on when they work in my home.

Just plug and play, connect to WiFi. I have the Tado by TP-Link, does what I need it most watch outside my window and it detect motions. It doesn't auto pan though which I'm sure they could add as a update but it works well enough.

I think this camera system has all the integration one could ask for. BUT the only thing I dislike is the Wi-Fi integration. and maybe I'm incorrect but if your Wi-Fi goes down all recording stops and the cameras are virtually useless till said Wi-Fi is back up. anyone with more insight on this, I'd be willing to stand corrected if I was wrong. just my .2 for whatever that's worth. I love the review though very informative and thorough. I won't let that be the deal breaker though. i'll be purchasing this system and would gladly share my thoughts upon request aswell.

No, this is a stand alone camera that doesn't connect to a eufy hub.

Anyone moving away formWyze to Eufy? Don’t like they make you pay to lift their 5 min record pause period. And then if you want more than 12 seconds you gotta pay. And Wyze detection zone is a JOKE It’s a perfect square or rectangle. Let’s hope Eufys is way better

Please be aware how often you use schwa on many words throughout the video. Schwa is the 'uh' sound found at the end of your words. If anything, it would help improve the overall audio of your videos as they'd focus on content rather than external noises. Hope this helps! 😄

This camera DOES NOT work with Alexa. Constant message "Camera is not responding" with each and every attempt to view, and I when I look at the reviews within the Alexa skill, most customers have given Eufy a ONE star for the same reason. This is absolute rubbish although the camera works well within its own app.

DO NOT BUY. I bought 4 for indoor use while I’m travelling. One small power cut and the cameras all fail to reconnect to the wifi so they are totally useless now.
