It was too hot in my office to shoot with my normal setup, and I had to keep fans running while recording my audio. This entire video was shot and edited on the XIaomi 12S Ultra. Hopefully I'll be back at my normal recording schedule soon👍

Watxhed this the other day while shopping cams. I now have the pan tilt and have been trying to replicate your issue. I'm glad I didn't let this video dissuade me from trying these out. $40 right now on Amazon and I couldn't be happier. To be clear, I've only set my configuration 1 time and I've intentionally disconnected from power 5 times without any issues.

sounds like there is an issue with his router or the camera firmware version rather than a real design issue with the camera.

I have 4 of these in my home for over a year and they can all reconnect to my router after power outage and internet/router outage automatically without fail.

@@Team_Daniel_Eva_Belle It might be the router specific issue. Might be also faulty firmware version of the camera that was fixed at some point.

I’ve had the pan and tilts two of them. Plus two solo cams for 2 years now and have never not once had to re program them to my router and I get power outages often in the winter here in Maine. Love my cams.

Do you own different cams from eufey or products and how do you like them? I’ve been liking the indoor cams but was thinking of ring pro 2 doorbell and ring pro floodlight but that’s 2 different companies to pay for cloud wervice

I own this camera and 4 of the c24 stationary ones for over 2 years.. When the power would go out, If I had a camera disconnect, which almost never happens, then reboot your router. I can do that remotely with an Asus router. Always would reconnect. I never have lost all of them like that.

I have several of the cheaper static indoor cameras (c24) and they recover fine after a power outage. Must just be an issue with that model.

I've heard from several folks that their cameras n reconnect, but I had four fail on me exactly the same way. None of them could reconnect.

I've only had mine a few days, already had a couple of brief power and internet only outages,with storms and Eufy Pan Tilt came right back. Even after being unplugged for a couple of hours and plugged back in, seems to come right back. Not sure what happened in your instance.

Every other eufy has been solid. These lost signal once and never got back on.

Hi. I use a different camera with all these features exect no flaws : Tapo. Have more cameras and no complaint at any. If wifi stops it will reconnect automatically

Interesting. One of the reasons I didn't put my ring cameras on my home backup is because i don't want people to know I have power Durning a power outage and the floodlights would give that away. I was looking into these very camera to replace my old Security camera that are on battery backup, (I believe in having redundancy for important things...providing I can afford it) but I'm gonna have to rethink that if them losing power means I have to repeat the setup process for multiple camera.

The nice thing about all these new web security cams, most of them are battery powered now. I don't think folks will immediately assume you have juice jsut because a camera or light pops on. Especially the ones with solar panels included.

You know, Juan, the footage in this video looks just as good as usual (at least to my one good eye anyway). I hope your AC gets back on. I can't imagine dealing with 81F in my home for an hour let alone 105F 💀

I was pleased! I kinda feel I'm doing the math right on my camera videos. This looks VERY similar to what I would expect my Lumix would shoot with a 12mm at f2.8. Phone cameras are CRUSHING right now.

Which exact model is this? I am looking at the S220 Model T8410X, and wondering if it has the same problems. Also, you did not mention anything about storing on the homebase 3? If my research is correct, you can store locally on the HB3 rather than the sd card, right?

We were also planning to add eufy cameras to the inside, but I'd rather get the battery powered ones at this point, they sync with the same base the doorbell syncs, and there is an add-on battery you can buy to the base so if power goes out you can squeeze a few more hours of footage until the power comes back up. Yet having a upc bank would be a good backup in case things don't go as planned. We try to empty out our fridge before traveling, but just in case we gotta leave the freezer on for some frozen goods then I've got a power back up for it just so our food won't go back while we're out and freeze right back into solid for our surprise 😅 This heatwave really sucked, and I really hope it cools down sooner than later 😎👍

Sounds horrible. We had a blackout about a year ago lasting about 3 hours, but the cameras automatically connected to my Google Wifi. We did not have to set up again. I would try to see if there was an update available on the cameras.

I have a Wyze that is basically worthless after the 2 week trial. It won't even record a few seconds of motion unless the app is renewed. How about this Eufy, is the app required after a trial period?

Well you need the app to see the footage you shoot, but there's no cost for using the app if you're recording footage to the local memory cards.

Can you also connect the battery Eufy's to a power supply so that it is working off the power until there is a power cut, then working off battery until power is back up?

I like the other battery powered eufy cameras. I never heard back why this camera refused to reconnect. I contacted Eufy support, and they couldn't figure it out. It sucks, because it's kind of a perfect indoor setup at a GREAT price.

Phone did very well. Pretty surprised. Man, audio is fine also but I keep thinking of how LG phones could amp up the audio gain in the manual settings for optimal audio when recording video. Im still a bit iffy on home cameras.

I had a big problem with the wifi connection and Eufy. The solution was I had to put the wifi router at ipv4 and ipv6. My Eufy's communicate withe ipv4. And my new router communicated with ipv6.

Hate to be that off topic guy unless being frustrated with a product is considered on topic. But still wondering if you have android 12 on your TCL 20 pro 5g or is it literally just Canadians getting shafted. Imagine finishing software nearly 10 months ago and not pushing it out to your paying customers.

If it makes you feel any better the surface duo 2 and 1 hasn't got Android 12 yet either and that had an MSRP of 1500 bucks. (As best I could tell TCL 20 pro did join the Android 12 developer program last year so sure does seem overdue)

We're close to last with updates because of our carriers. Bell were the last (or near) on the planet to roll out 12 to Samsung S10s. I bet TCL is way lower on their priority list.

Eufy needs to fix their cameras to keep retrying to connect to WiFi instead of giving up after failing to connect. That would fix the issue. Everyone, contact Eufy Support and spread the word online! If I have a power failure or if I reboot my router, my Eufy cameras try to connect to WiFi, perhaps even succeed, but then they disconnect and they don't keep retrying to connect, keeping them stuck offline. To deal with the issue, I have to power cycle the Eufy cameras or use a different WiFi router and power cycle the router. Eufy, just fix your firmware! No other WiFi devices have this problem!

@@clisaa6974 Due to the original Eufy problem, I connect my Eufy cameras to a secondary WiFi router. When I have a power failure, the Eufy cameras reconnect to my secondary WiFi router in about 10 minutes. It isn't clear whether Eufy fixed the issue or whether my use of a secondary WiFi router fixed the issue.

I have the same frustration with my Nest outdoor cams. If they lose wifi connection they won't reset unless they get triggered by motion. Which is very frustrating when you're not at home.

I have this same camera. I had a similar issue happen to me once. In the past 2 months since I’ve had it. The rest of the time they reconnect without a problem. The main reason why I’m returning this one is because 9/10 times I check it’s pointing at the wall not doing anything 😢 I actually checked while writing this and it’s currently pointed at the wall lol. I’ve recalibrated it multiple times. Nuked it and brought it back. Same issue everyday. Very disappointed. I got the camera in October when going to Paris so I can make sure my neighbor was feeding my cat everyday I was gone. The camera barely seen anything because it kept turning to the wall smh

@@SomeGadgetGuy i promise you if I could post pictures I would. It’s everyday. Just give it a few hours after I turn it to where it should be and…….boom back on the wall looking at dusk gather. Going to give Aqara a try I’ve seen good things and it’s not the biggest price difference plus all the same and more features. I hear great things about their reliability and privacy (heard some not so good things about Eufy’s privacy policy as well) so maybe you can give them a try and see if works better for you.

@@clisaa6974 I actually went with Aqara cameras. I appreciate the included Zigbee Hub. If you’re getting door/window sensors Aqara’s are also relatively inexpensive compared to others. And they work really well and reliably

I suspect they were updating firmware or something when the power dropped out, as I have 3 of these and the doorbell. I have never had an issue with power loss bricking or resetting the units. My son loves to unplug ours frequently. When plugged back in, they always come back online automatically.. Also, before I got velop tri-band AP's I had tons of issues with my kasa smart switches and eufy cams. I hope this helps.

Same here. As long as your internet and access point are working, it should reconnect without the need to rebind to app.
