Thank you so much! After watching your videos I purchased the HomeBase 3 with two professional cameras. Added the solar wall light for our driveway gate and now was debating between these two cameras. While the wall light camera is great we realized there’s a lot more going on and need better coverage. glad you made this video, i literally just posed this question on reddit a few days ago. overwhelmingly everyone said to go with the S340. I did, and it turns out it makes perfect sense as my area has horrible 4G service anyways.

I got the S340 and I’m a tell you right now. You can clearly see the PIR sensor is a dome shaped piece on the camera and picks up the motion not only instantly but from really good amount of angles the 4k new one PIR sensor is flat and hidden in the camera and definitely is taking longer to pick up motion and looking like it’s not gonna be as good of picking up the motion detection from different angles

Excellent review, and far superior to so many others who just want to flog this stuff by a amazon link. I'm so tired of the producers here not doing proper reviews

I don't have any Eufy cameras, but I would definitely buy them when needed. Sofor now Reolink and Tapo are my cameras.

Largely due to your reviews, I have selected Eufy as my main product line. In many ways I have no regrets. PIR cameras have poor response times. I have 5 Indoor Cams installed and appreciate how they detect faster than PIR cams. I have them mounted looking out windows. This has limitations but supports the other 8 cameras that I have outside. I ran into a strange problem. The cheap USB power modules included with the Indoor Cams are very poor quality. I have had 3 of 5 fail in the last 6 months. I checked them and their voltage output dropped to 4.5v or less which causes the cameras to go offline. I contacted Eufy support. That was a big mistake, they wanted copies of purchase invoices and a lot of other stuff. Far too much red tape and the solution would be to send me more junk modules. I gave up on them and bought a 6 pack of 2.4A modules on Amazon for $9. I know Anker owns Eufy. I cannot believe that they provide such poor quality power modules with their cameras. Shame shame. I told Eufy to cancel their ticket and just replaced all their substandard modules.

Appreciate your excellent videos. Was looking for a good wireless outdoor cam with floodlights. Saw your video on the blink system but still not sure if that good enough or there is better. Would appreciate your advise tx.

Great videos as always. I had one question. Was thinking of jumping to Eufy from RING for better image quality cameras but was concerned about range. Ring has a range extender. What do you do if the Eufy camera is too far from the base station?? Thank you again.

Hello life hackster I really love your channel and especially your reviews for the Eufy Home security cameras. After watching your many reviews I had decided to buy the Eufy E340 door bell with Dual cameras. I liked how it works so well I just purchased the Eufy Indoor Cam E220 (2K, 2-Cam Kit, Pan & Tilt) And I am very happy with it. Next I want to buy the Eufy Floodlight Cam E340 But I have some concerns, I was hoping you might be able to help me with. I want to mount this camera above my garage door facing the street, my house has vinyl siding and it is very thin and brittle, I know I will have to drill holes in it but I don't want to damage it any further than necessary nor do I want my camera to not be securely attached to the siding underneath. Underneath the siding is 3/4” inch (OSB) sheathing I know this camera weighs a little over 3 lb and it is not a cheap camera and I would hate for it to fall, so I was hoping you could make a video showing how I might mount this to the side of my garage. I bought this camera not even 2 months ago and the pan tilt preset default settings I chose don’t stay in place. The camera will deviate from the setting by either dropping too low or going too high out of the blue. It’s annoying because it stuffs up your motion detection activity area that you also set. Taking it back for a refund or exchange.

Do they make the S340 or anything compatible to that in this company that is wired instead of solar and they make them in black why is everything have to be white? It gets dirty after a while

I’ve got a yard with a reeeeaaally long driveway, like 100ft. Are there any eufy cameras with ai motion detection instead of PIR that might be able to pick up a person and notify me from 50-100ft away? I’m even open to having an interior camera pointed out a window if necessary

I cant find a review of the NEW Reolink RLC-823S2 is it worth upgrading from the RLC-823A 16x . Only difference I see it the SC has spotlights and color night vision

The cellular is limited to very few sim card options. I was unable to get a verizon sim card with a data plan to work.

Can you have the S330 connected to wifi but if wifi connection is lost it automatically switches to 4g? Then when wifi is back online it switches back to wifi? So 4g is a backup option and not permanent 🤔

I kind of find that the ring has better software I could go easily back and look who was on my porch two hours ago three hours ago where eufy is a little strange not as easy. I wish they would actually have a better system and I don’t get notifications that quickly. I find the ring quicker than this company. What do you think?

Hello, I have a question, is this camera worth it to watch animals such as snakes, mice, birds, or is it not able to take on these types of activities. I think they have had the camera for a long time and I would be interested to know so as not to make an unnecessary expense or if they know of another camera that achieves these results. Is it possible to get notifications for Eugy camera's when it's in live stream mode? I can't seem to get my S350 to send me notifications when it streaming live.. maybe it can't?

It’s been a few months and I’m wondering if you’ve had any issues with S340? I have seen a decent amount of reviews on Amazon saying the camera stopped tracking or all together stopped working. I want to buy 4 of them but am a bit worried about reliability.

@lifehackster Your reviews are great. I have the original 1080p Ring Battery Spotlight Cameras and need something with much better resolution. Ring is great for alerting to delivery people, but not if something happens at your home and you need better resolution. Of all the outdoor cameras you have reviewed, can you make some recommendations as to what I might want to look at? Battery and/or solar power is preferred. How would you say this Eufy compares with the Ring spotlight battery cameras in terms of resolution for example? And how is their customer support?

you need to test them for burn out with permanent outdoor lighting under the eaves mthat flash or strobe or scroll , i installed govee permanent outdorr lights under my eaves use as a decor and night light all night it caused the eufy solo cam lights to burn out and now it sconstantly switches from infer red to color cause the light change colors and scroll and flash

How is s340 working in rainy day？

Good evening two months ago I bought eufy s340 it is an efficient camera with nice quality. Currently after two months my solar panel has stopped charging the camera while the connection is fine. Can you tell me a solution for this problem, and if anyone has faced the same problem?

S330 has better audio and looks cooler... Night vision isnt that great.. s340 has no extra cost.. vs S330 I like to see a long term test on the battery life. Ring has out another door stop if you need one..Btw.. Wyze is getting Better. Blink is great for losing your money. I like the new Eufy solar light cam.

You forgot to mention that the wifi on s340 is only 2.4 ghz while the s330 4k is both 2.4 and 5g. I have only verizon 5g so all 2.4 doesn't work

They need a lot of work on this do called ai since their ai enable cameras loves to send annoying alerts on rustling bushes and shadows.

On the 4glte camera, Did you have any issues linking it to your account? Mine simply won’t link. I have tried connecting it to my WiFi, nothing.. I have tried connecting it via 4g lte, nothing.. any thoughts?

I’m really disappointed by Eufy. I’m facing a down on my internet connection since yesterday morning and I discover that cameras are not accessible by lan without internet. This is unacceptable. Are they still recording?

I have two of the Eufy garage controller/ camera setups. Their app is lacking. Especially when you compare it to the Reolinc app. I would not buy a Euft security camera unless they improve the app.
