It seems "EUFYCAMNEW" is invalid now :) I wish if I saw this last year because the issue of the "dog poop fly tipping lady" was there even last year while we were doing some renovation before moving to this house.
Lots of reviews are coming out about the new Eufycam aand this is a good one; however no one talks about range, what max distance between the hub and the cameras; also how expandable is this system? Two important factors missed.
@@louismattia9917 I live in an old cottage with granite walls 50+cm thick. Any idea if they'll work with that? (I will go and look for the video you referenced, but just wondered if you knew.) Thanks.
Eufy customer service is a nightmare to deal with, I have been talking to them for 4 weeks and not only they give me false information they are not honoring their warranty terms, I paid $600 for S330 and one of the cameras isn't working. Eufy customer service has been jerking me around and not changing my Camera.
We live in a rural area on a 4 acre property. I want to put up some cameras outside, along our boundary to detect and collect video of trespassers. Our home Wifi does not extend beyond the walls of our house. So will these work 100 feet away from the house/ Or deo they need Wifi or cellular sim cards?
Not the best at all in reality! The motion sensitive area of the view is the bottom half. So instead of having the camera mounted high enough to be out of reach and pointing at your property AND NOT THE ROAD AND HOUSES OPPOSITE. To get it to work you have to mount it exceedingly low and have it pointing so that your property is in the bottom half of the frame and the street and houses opposite are in the top half. Thus wasting this area! They told me this themselves when I struggled to get this fakking thing to work. Also their customer service is hap hazard at best. My unit went back! Massive waste of time and money!
I use to had blink outdoor cam not anymore because it’s 1080p night vision is not great so far and I have to pay subscription $10 month unlimited cams so I returned the kit and got the new beast when eufy released this model eufy cam 3 s300 it blowed my mind added 5tb storage hard drive no monthly fees night vision is better 10/10 with eufy
Had this for 4 weeks and had to send it back, The batteries were at 58% on one and the other was at 20% after 3 weeks with solar on no way they would last a year. Motion detection was rubbish, the window cleaner cleaned my windows and it only picked him up twice in all the time he was there. don't go there.
But all it takes is for someone to steal a camera and you lose all access to the footage from that camera even though its still on the base station? What kind of design is this?? They don't even have to steal the camera if they don't want to either, all they have to do is hold that pair button down on the back of the camera and BAM, all footage from that camera is lost.
No, all the recordings are kept in the home base even if the camera is stolen. And they already fixed the pairing button issue on December, now the only way to reset a camera is through the app
Forgot to mention how horrible the motion detection is on this camera! You literally have to be within 15-20ft max from the camera for it to detect motion. I have 4-s330 all of them properly installed and tested repeatedly for motion detection and they all fail at this one major key for security cameras. All the other features are great. I would absolutely not recommend this camera for the money unless you live in a town house.
Having an Arlo system which is quite a few years old and even compatible with HomeKit, you don’t really need this compatibility as the system as you can set it up as you like.
Assume that as these are battery cameras they go into sleep mode in order to save power with potential vital footage missed before wake up. Think I’ll stick to wired. I do like the idea of the Home Base Station which is a great compromise for those of us who record to mircroSD because they don’t want the overhead of an NVR.
Hi there, I have just taken delivery of the Cam 3 4xpack (S330) and still need to set up. However i have read a lot of reports regarding the solar panels delaminationg within 3-4 months and cameras not holding there charge - in full sunlight? More disturbing, is official response from Eufy not replacing this whicle still under the 1 year Warrantee. I am now wondering if I made the incorrect choice? Maybe i should have gone for Arlo?
Great commercial for eufy. However real world experience is not quite what you state. I have several wireless eufy cams and i do like them but if you don’t have sun exposure you wont get even close to a year on a charge. Especially if there is a lot of action. I charge about every 4-5 months. Overall happy with them but this in not a review. It’s a sponsored commercial.
I agree about the battery life. I have a couple of eufyCam 2s which claim to last 365 days on one charge. Unfortunately, they last about 3-5 months in my experience.
yeah but these have solar panels on top of them? so will be heaps better. I charge mine maybe every month or so mine being 2c cameras. and honestly. it's barely a hassle. so very minimal reasoning for them being below top tier.
Funny you should say that (Probably because they sponsor you) so it’s irrelevant really Because my Brother works for Eufy has done for 5 Years and he tells the family and his mates it’s rubbish he said it’s a case of telling enough people that the product is better than it is and the then get some dude to say it’s brilliant.
Seemed like the feed was dropping frames a bit. What is the range like from the base station to the cameras? Was the video smoother with the cameras closer?
The Eufy4k and 2k is not good take that back😅😩😂 Go's offline every other day and stop recording and when it does work it's recording after the person is walking away WTF 😤🤬
Having issues with my Eufy’s….worked perfectly for 10 months then it stopped charging ( solar) . I like the system but the issue isn’t easily resolved with Eufy. They generate a email response that doesn’t answer your questions totally. ( AI ?)
I have question: When it comes to trespasser detection light, is it the same as the field of vision of the camera? or can it be independent? The reason I am asking this is that there is someone in my neighbourhood who put dog poop bags into our driveway. (Someone told me that it was a woman whom he confronted once). She might be walking into our driveway or probably throwing it while walking on the road without walking across the boundary. I don't want to alert everyone walking on the street in front of my house. I only want to trigger the trespasser light when someone enters my driveway or when it detects anything airborne (when she is throwing the dog poop bag). But I need to immediately capture the video of the street in front of my house to gather evidence. So, the camera must record the road, but the trespasser detection has to be only within my driveway boundary level :)
excellent. i will get a pair of these. at the moment i am only using google nest wireless door bell as security and it only monitors a small area of the front door i need a proper cam that can monitor the cars in the driveway. I have several google hubs, screens and smart devices, but not so impressed with video quality of door bell. Anything that you would like to recommend?
Allegedly, according to Eufy everything but the wired doorbell cam will work with the Home Base 3, eventually, I have a couple of standalone 2k spotlight cams, L40s, Eufy claim they will be integrated in December. I think i will hold off on a purchase till then, I don't want to have to replace them, you can find a schedule of integration on the Eufy website. No idea if new cams are backwards compatible, but 4 k cams will use up the 16 GB of memory fast.
Thanks a lot for the review. Can it record 24X7..I saw some reviews and it was mentioned that it can record small clips of 120 seconds each. also if you press and hold button on camera then complete hard disk is wiped off.. is it true??
My understanding is Yes, but you will not receive notifications. It only uses the home wifi network to transmit data to the hub (not the internet) the notifications are pushed via internet
Great video, how will it light up the spotlight automatically? How will it light up and turn on the sound automatically? will I get a notification when the battery is low?
#Great review - can you tell me, is there a feature to delete after a certain time? I am thinking trying to delete 16TB will be tedious when HD is maxxed. Also are storage alerts on the system thanks
"Thanks for contacting eufy customer support and giving us a chance to address your inquiry. Sincerely sorry to say S330 doesn't support Homekit currently. HomeKit is still undergoing development, please stay tuned! We currently have no plans to support Matter. Sorry for the inconvenience we bring to you. Thanks for your understanding." Me sorry too....not bying this S330
Thank for your review. I got an question about where to find ignore notifications in the app? Just bought the system with three cameras. I do not find the ignore notifications and it comes out with alarms all the time when kids are playing around even the system has recognized them. Thanks.
I have 4 of the C2 Pro installed, thinking of adding these to the arsenal. Does the C2 Pro also have the ability to assign face recognition so it knows when specific people are there? I can’t seem to figure out how to assign names to faces? Mine just says human detected.
Whilst this connects to your WiFi hub, which is greatm what happens if you buy this kit and it won't communicate through internal and external walls to the camera's ?
Actually, the AI on Homebase 3 works locally (according to Eufy). That's probably one of their biggest advantages to most competitors. You probably need internet to use the App (I haven't tested this yet), but local motion detection and recording should continue to operate.
Two cameras aren’t enough. How many cameras can be added to the base station? Can you have multiple base stations in the same home? Or, do the base stations interfere with each other. Does the system have scheduled arming and disarming? The camera mounting location might be shaded from the sun. Is there a remote solar charging option?
I like removable batteries in battery powered camera. Those 18650 Li-ion batteries that Eufy uses are made in CHINA and have a much higher failure rate than those from Japan.
The batteries in your iPhone and Android phones are also made in China--along with the vast majority of alkaline batteries... I guess you don't use any of those...
That's right. All the solar or battery powered cameras can only save events (up to 150 seconds of clips), they do not record continuously in 24/7. If you want 24/7 you have to go with a wired camera, but keep in mind storage is expensive and the 24/7 cameras can only save up to 7 days before rewritting everything again
Any recommendations of mounting brackets? I need ones that I can attach to my siding aiming the camera along 90 degrees, mine keep skin ding down from the angle, cameras to heavy
Are the video clips stored in the home base viewable as a thumbnail? My current Arlo does not - only as as generic icon. So I have to open and watch the video to see what’s recorded. Also, can i view them from a hotel while on vacation? Finally is the Eufy app ipad compatible? Meaning in landscape mode - which my Wyze app is best for an iPhone. Thx.
The 4k resolution isn't great. I have a 1080p Kami wireless camera which is much clearer than the eufy and can view number plates much better. Colour Night Vision is also better. Cost me £49.
Yes, this is a basic feature on every camera no matter the brand. But keep in mind that long video streaming consumes a lot of internet data and battery life from the camera
Cool. Except for if someone just grabs it. Including the storage. Then you say: ok just use the home base station. 2 problems with that: if a camera is stolen and they reset it: it will remotely DELETE all footage. The base station is also very easy to bypass with a cheap wifi blocker. You can cripple the whole system without even touching it. It is the dream system of any thief.
The base and cameras communicate through a different frequency that’s encrypted and footage would go to base storage, if they block WiFi it would cut off your notification but they would have to do that before being detected.
Unfortunately, no, not yet. That's a massive flaw that speaks poorly of their security posture...especially with how long that flaw has been publicly known.
@@trebor042 but the camera reset removes access to the recording at the Homebase, thus the severity of this flaw and the absurdity of Eufy describing this as a “feature” that works as designed.
@@trebor042 That’s really good to hear. It conflicts with other reports I’ve heard and what Eufy’s support wrote another customer recently, but if you personally observed it, I’m pleased to hear it. I may just need to purchase it (as I was strongly considering before I heard of this issue from multiple other sources) to test it out myself.
No one talks about the lack of integration of Eufy systems. It works with Amazon and google, but quite limited and it doesn't integrate with any other plaftform.... Excellent products, but lack of integration make them useless. After owning 20 devices from them I leaving their system behind....
@@curse6of6me624/7 recording is very important. Wireless cameras always miss starting points and end points of motion. You need to be able to check the full footage sometimes.
The only one that i know is continuesly recording is de victure cameras... And also is continuesly deleting behind the old videos ,, it its nice camera and cheap
No one ever mentions the automation. You can program the other cameras to record or perform other tasks if a sensor or individual camera detects motion. Ideal if you miss part of the footage on one camera.
