Eugene Platt's is an all-purpose store located on Cherry Grove Beach. They have fishing supplies, bait and tackle, groceries, and a fresh seafood market, where they will even prepare your selection for you.
Y’all’s plates were making my mouth water if y’all are in north myrtle beach there’s a seafood restaurant that you have to walk through a sharks mouth to get in and they have awesome buffets with seafood plus other delicious home cooked food do a video of that if you get a chance love y’all’s videos 😊
@@NCMemoryMakersIt’s not right on the road but it’s facing the road there’s a Callabash seafood place next door it has a big parking lot in front of it
@@troywright7046 Is it a giant shark or a giant crab? I live in the area and don't recall a buffet place that has a giant shark (there's a gift shop that you walk through a shark's mouth). There is a place call The Giant Crab in/near restaurant row and there are a couple of Calabash style restaurants near it (one right beside it). You don't walk through the crab's mouth but there's a giant crab above the door.
Didn't know y'all had tried it. We loved it. Have they been doing the seafood platters for that long? I knew they sold fresh fish, but didn't know about the platters until maybe last year.
Wow yalls plates were huge for $17.99 great price I'm a flounder person and that flounder looked awesome, all that food has made me hungry I will go out of my way to get that food, y'all go to some really good places thank you so much , y'all enjoy yourself be safe and God Bless
Looks great. Large portions of good seafood at reasonable prices is getting hard to find. Just curious, have y'all been to Mayflower seafood in Elizabethton Tennessee? I think they have one in Goldsboro NC also. The seafood special is 17 bucks and is awesome.
Not those locations, but yes, we've been to some local Mayflower seafood restaurants. We usually get a lot of food for the money there, as well. We have a video from the one in Darlington, SC, and it was probably the most food I've ever gotten in one meal. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bkbjA2bAV14.htmlsi=PcWT81k4dxvKFhkk
That flounder looked very good, all the food looked great. Nice sized portion and good value. Looked like a great place and being able to take it out was great.
We go there all the time when we are at Cherry Grove. Platt’s has a great lunch deal as well. Also, on our way back home, we always get 5 lbs of the cleaned medium shrimp and bring it back home on ice to put in the freezer. They will put the shrimp in 1 lb servings for you if you ask. Thanks for sharing the great video at Platt’s Seafood!🍤 ❤
Hey. We were there in August of last year and had plates from there. Great food. Will be going back when we head back to north Myrtle Beach in August again.
Could you tell me where you ate your seafood? I thought you said "The cafeteria". and where is it located please. We were jut up in Cherry Grove Thursday. We love it there but we don't know much about the area. Your meals looked delicious! Thanks!
If you remember the Bolineau's IGA store, up there on the corner. It's where you turn right or left to drive along the beach. They have a cafeteria inside of there. Since they also own the seafood place where we got these, we knew they would not mind if we purchased the seafood there, and brought it up to the cafeteria to eat. We would not normally have done that, except it's the same owners. If it's a pretty day, you can walk right next door to the gas station. There are 4 outside tables there, as well. And it's right next door to the seafood place.
Seafood is so much more affordable at the beach than it is in the mountains! Either cooked or fresh the prices are so much better. I live in Brevard and have to go either to Asheville or Hendersonville to find any good fresh seafood. Thanks for another great video!!
Live about 45 minutes away from there. Next time I go to Hamricks in Myrtle Beach, I'm getting a platter to take home! That looked amazing & price was spot on! New subbie! Tfs! Blessings!
awesome review, and info, been looking too try that, might have too now. have stopped in for tackle and to look around, seen it for years coming to CGB, but never tried there food selections. was that like a friday night or sat? just curious due to how busy it was. but all looks good for sure. glad they have other options then fried , i like fried but my body doesn't since gal bladder removed, stinks. anyways, great job, and so enjoy watching yall!!
Thank you so much for letting us know that you like to watch us. I know you love this area, and yes, I think you will be impressed by the deal that you get there. It's a lot of food for the money. It was Saturday evening, that we were in there. Plus, it's also Memorial Day weekend. I'm sure those two factors played a large part in why there were so many people. If you do try it on your next visit down here, let us know if you liked it.
@@NCMemoryMakers your very welcome, i enjoy your reviews, there honest, and don't sugar coat things. like the good and bad. had a feeling it was friday or sat, crazy busy. will do that for sure if we have the chance to try it.
The shrimp is about the same as any of those restaurants in Calabash. I would put it right up there as about the same quality. And the same thing with the flounder. Speaking of Ella's, you do know that it burned about 2 years ago, right? At first, they said they were going to rebuild, but it doesn't look like it now.
@@NCMemoryMakers yeah we saw when Ella’s was burning online. We have lots of friends who have houses down there and they were posting it. So sad!! We are going to try Becks in July. We have eaten at most of the places on that road just not Becks. I saw your review and decided we would give it a try. We will let you know how we like it!!
@monicamoore111 Yes, please let us know that. My understanding, is that Beck's and Ella's are owned by the same family. We can't tell any difference in their food at all.
