I read this story probably apocryphal many years ago. Margaret Mead was asked what she believed was the first sign of civilization. Her surprising response was when a skeleton was found with a healed thigh bone. Because no one survives with a broken thigh bone. You can't walk, you can't hunt, you're helpless for several months. This meant there were people who carried this person and supplied all their needs. People who yes dragged this person around even though they could contribute nothing. And eugenetics? Just be careful you don't suddenly find yourself on the wrong side of the line. Because civilization and Christianity is displayed by how we care for the least of these.

After all, your religion is fine with slavery, genocide, infanticide, misogyny, and basically all of the underlying tenets of eugenics. Where in scripture is eugenics even hinted at being condemned? Also, let's say that eugenics really is based on sound evolutionary scientific data. So? That doesn't make evolution false, or bad.

I had not even thought about monopoly as an expression of Social Darwinism (which is really an expression of the will to power).
