Lol at the people who called Lucas as an arrogant person. Lucas is being called as a gem in variety shows right now with just only two TV appearance so far. His personality on TV shows is just a TV persona. The PD and the writers' might be the one who asked him to act like that. If you follow NCT diligently, you will know that he is a selfless and caring and loving person. He might named himself as the most handsome member in NCT here but in their Vlive, he named Winwin and Taeyong as the most handsome member in NCT.. It's all for the sake of variety shows.. Who will want to watch a boring and no-content variety show though
Eh I don't think that the PD and writers *asked him to act like that* because before he was on TV, he acted like that for fun even on some of the Vlives; he acts overly confident and stuff really often...but it's just a persona for laughs and for fun. I think most real NCTzens know how genuine and caring he is to the fans and the other members, but the persona is there for variety sense and make people laugh. This is the same thing for Jin and Yoongi from BTS regarding 'worldwide handsome' arrogance and 'savage Yoongi'...they're just personas for the public and most of their fanbases know this already.
Actually SM is really into their idols being confident. As a SM trainee you need to have this confidence, a confidence in your body, face, talent and so on.
Lucas doesn't have too much training in the entertainment world. He comes from a normal background with a very loving family. So he is just a normal playful teenager. He has to rely on his instinct and depends on his true feeling when expressing himself when working in the entertainment world. He just pretty much speaks what's on his mind and he is not pretentious at all. Sometimes I worried for him, he can get hurt by the other more experience, manipulative, conniving entertainers.
Jackson used to be a lot like Lucas during his rookie days. But he kind of decreased it a little because people started calling him a narcissist, self centred, and cocky. And that's sort of what I am afraid of for Lucas, I don't when him to lose the confidence that he shows now, just because others don't like the way he presents himself and is confident about himself.

Yeah, but like, Jin gets embarassed 'bout what he does from time to time. His ears would get red but he loves the response he receives from people. Rather than being confident, I think what he's doing is 'boosting his confidence' since he's usually very shy, and voicing out that he's world handsome tends to break the tension. @@patchcraze04 Yup, I know what you mean. Jin wasn't confident at all and it was the company that put him in that Visual position. But he got more and more confident the more he said it about himself and the more he heard it from his environment. He talked about it a lot in his early vlogs as a trainee. Even Jackson and Jun are not up to that confidence level Lucas is having, since they also are very self critical although they say about themselves they're handsome all the time. Lucas is just on another level of confidence and maybe it's because he's not a native Korean. To me he has this naive and pure innocence of a country boy like V and it's so endearing.
2024 - I miss this the old Lucas :') He is more quiet,doesn't talkative like before,more behave and beware with every his word,not happier and funny like before,he look more feeling down and pressured much after the fake scandal.But glad he is making comeback now.He look like a new matured Lucas with better version of him
