Wasn't that mentioned as an uncommon ability in the first game? It may not have been particularly important dialogue, just something an NPC mentioned, but I recall seeing it SOMEWHERE in the game that most High Entia can't move their wings ...On further thinking, they may have said "consciously", implying they might move as a reflex regardless
@@TrueLucinova We literally see Tyrea fly at the end of her post game quest. Might not be everyone who can move them but some of them definitely could.
@@mathijslaugeman6054 Indeed, I remember that with Tyrea; I was essentially thinking about whether Eunie did it herself, or as a natural reflex (like when they perk up at Colony 9)
Well, notice that the swears those replace... Are all things that the team wouldn't know about. After all, f bombs mean nothing if you don't know what sex is.
She has a 500% damage multiplier on her ouroboros form for stacking buffs (which a late game job can do absurdly easy), and her talent art on ouroboros does extra damage to bosses. She really is the "I'm a healer but..." in-game
@@joeyginise6051 She’s a High Entina. Basically bio-mechanical lifeform. The vestigial wings are a design carry-over that they accepted as a status symbol
I remember when It was revealed that Eunie's class name was Medic gunner (Sharla's class) people were worried about the lack of damage and the whole rifle overheat. Turns out all the heat was packed into her vocabulary and the damage into EEMOTIONAL DAAMAGE.
“Peng on a levnis” “Peng” is a species in the Xenoblade world, a penguin like animal that can fly and has a weird crest. So it’s like saying “ostrich on a bus” or “kangaroo on a train”. The absurdity is the point
POTENTIAL SPOILER: My favorite Eunie line: "You there, in the back. Feeling lonely because you haven't been punched yet? Well you better enjoy it while it lasts, because I'm about to rearrange both of your mugs!!"
Melia: "Eunie, the verbosity of your colourful vocal outbursts is in dire need of some obfusciation." Euni: "My WHAT is WHAT? Wan' me to smack'em pretty white biters fo ya?!"
Why is Eunie a healer at the start. She's literally the definition of, "I'm a healer but..." Haven't played the game yet but already love her Edit: Have Played, Still Love, Full Metal Jaguar is totally her actual class Edit Edit: I NOW KNOW ABOUT J ALL RIGHT! I'm on Chapter 4, almost Chapter 5 now
its pretty much stated in the first chapter of the game but spoiler anyway . . . . . . . . . . . The original healer member of their team died in a suprise attack a few years ago, Eunie probably took the healer place to honor him
What I love about the 'Too easy!' post battle dialogue is that it’s entirely possible to be the one initiating the fight before it plays. It’s like she’s gaslighting the enemy into believing it was at fault before it dies. Eunie moment
She'd be the type of woman to rub her feet on Taion in an attempt to freak him out just for it to turn into his sexual awakening. Sounds weird, I know, but they seem to have that dynamic.
What XC3 pairings look like: Noah x Mio: These guys need a room for themselves Lanz x Sena: Muscle buddies for life!!!! Meanwhile Taion: Why am I stuck with the psycho? Eunie: You talking about me, you muppet?
the most british RPG series introduces its most british character yet she even calls peoples "muppets" as an insult, and I kinda find that more impressive to get away with in a Nintendo game than "arsehole" or "bitch" i mean, come on, No More Heroes was on the Wii and every other Travis quote was swearing or an innuendo
If anyone's wondering about Eunie calling people "muppets", it actually means _exactly_ what you'd expect! The Muppet Show was filmed in, and first aired in, England, so the cultural impact was felt there first. Calling someone a muppet means calling them incompetant or foolish, in the same way Muppet media always ends up with mayhem and explosions.
Even funny when considering one of her Rest Stop animations is her taking a nap on Sena’s shoulder, with Sena’s face saying “Welp, this is my life now.”.
Eunie is like the prime example of how Xenoblade genuinely wouldn't be the same if everyone weren't British, like it's just so funny how core it is to the identity and yet it's only there in dub form. She would not be the same character if she spoke like a normal person.
This was the video that got me to try out XC3 and in turn both XC:DE and XC2 and I’m so incredibly grateful I got to experience this incredible franchise.
This video singlehandedly made me buy the game. I can't thank you enough for this gem of an upload. I'm now 47 hours into the game on chapter 4 having a blast lol
@@zealot2147 somebody already mentioned but a peng is a penguin like bird that can fly, and then we know levnises already, just your standard exclamation of shock or surprise by putting an animal in or on something they don’t to show surprise
@@JohnvanCapel In more understandable wording: “Rooster on a Robot (just a phrase to exemplify the point), this unrelenting horse always gives full effort”
It's not censored, they don't say "fuck" because they've literally never heard that word before and don't know what it means. Obviously, only City people say "fuck".
What the guy above says, they have their own insults, it's not censorship. Case in point: actual english curse words that get thrown around from time to time (or in case of some, like the B word, all the time). If it was censorship, we wouldn't have those at all. Plus, I think the dialogue wouldn't be as interesting if you kept hearing the kind of swearing you're used to. The fact they are so creative with their curses and insults makes the game this much more entertaining. It was really fun to untangle all those weird insults and figure out what they actually meant when translated to normal English we're used to. The choice to give them their own curses and swearing style was spot on.
Look guys, im not looking for an explanation of what counts as censorship or the differences in xc3 swearing vs our swearing. Im just tryna joke around about the fact that if they used actual swear words, eunie would single-handedly make this game rated M
Whenever I open the container with Eunie I can't tell if she's saying: *Heh heh, clumsy Eunie!* or *Heh heh, come to Eunie!* Either way I love hearing her say that
She's like that one meme with Pokémon Sword/Shield female trainer being a hot headed dirty mouthed scottish person, but instead she is british and CANONICALLY a hot headed dirty mouthed person.
@@milla96175 I'm pretty sure, it at least looks that way to me. Might also be an optical illusion since it's worn over their regular clothes, but I'm also pretty sure that the outfit has bouncier physics as well.
After spending a bit too much time looking at Mio/Eunie/Sena's chests, it doesn't seem to actually het bigger, but does seem to make it hang a bit lower (though higher for Sena?) This is all with comparison to their base class clothing for reference
To be honest i was kinda scared that she would be like the typical childhood friend/rejected love interest for this game, glad i was god damm wrong. Eunie is a treat to listen to
Noah: I... I need an adult. Taion: I'm too young for this discussion. Mio: Did... they just invent a new slur? Lanz: More like five of 'em. And I think one of them was racially charged. Sena: For a race I don't even think exists yet.
Eunie is flat out my favourite character in this game. She is brilliant and her english va (like most of the cast) is very expressive. She's very much the kind of lass i get along with well so seeing someone with her personality amuses me. Also while my notification sound on my tablet is 'im really feeling it' , ive taken to setting her lines like 'you muppet ' and the ' 'ill hit em, then i'll hit em again' on other notifications
I took a liking to Eunie after I did grays hero quest and she became my main after. And now I have her as a dodge tank on an attacker class ( which happens to be grays)
Aerial slash + wide slash + QuickDraw is perfect for making her not get hit. Until the AI uses one of those evade moves when you switch off for half a second and you're left helpless for that one shot move.
Yeah, Gray was the guy with two guns. And honestly, his class seems nerfed much harder than the other heroes when used by the six. Just use Zephyr if you want a dodge tank with immense dps.
@@uhoh7545 yeah those are the exact arts I have on her. I also have accessories that boost evasion when standing still and when moving and one that boosts recharge when a non defender is targeted. And the master art I have with QuickDraw is ring of roses to boost recharge even more, then I have the gem that boosts the effect of buffs. Needless to say, it works
To clarify the "Peng on a Levnis" quote, Peng is a species of enemy from xenoblade 2 so in the quote Eunie is using that form of the word, rather than the slang term
Peng was also a bird in Xenoblade 2 and Levnis was a machine used for Combat. But the other half of the sentence most likely means he doesn't do anything half arse. The first part of the sentence is just her color commentary of something surprising you don't see every day. "bird on a war machine, politician telling the truth, etc..." Being he just asked the party to wipe out the "enemy". He held nothing back, so nothing by halves.
