The gold i think is those aunt's family punishment... Since goblin can go anywhere he probably 'borrow' it somewhere else n put some spell/suggestion on it (wonder if the grim reaper help since i not sure if goblin can do that or not, but the previous episode with this loanshark too his word bcome true so i not sure if it suggestion or future telling) n once those guy taken it the spell make them forget about her n their home... That's why he's so conflicted & their relationship is a bit tragic if they fall in love - he dies if she's successful as the goblin bride 😥 P.S. a goblin is a real magical creature in Korean folklore so thats why she was able to "read up" on him. They keep mentioning brooms bc goblin can be "turned into a broomstick" plus they supposedly carry a magical club they can create gold with. The lady in red/granny is also in Korean folklore- she is the deity of fertility, responsible for "creating" babies. That's why the granny says something about giving EunTak to her mom.
Grim Ripper and Sunny had an amazing chemistry that they have worked again in another series, it’s a rom-con and their character is so much different from this one hehehe

I have to mention that the subtitles I watched this show with are different so there's a few subtle meaning changes. Makes me want to learn the language to avoid the mistranslations lol
korean goblin (dokebi) is like European fae. They are playful and trick people. They turn into goblin fire and travel as fire. They live in common household. They play with people all night and turn into a broom in the morning. They have a magic club that can make money come out.

Just a quick note: “Sunbae” just means senior. So someone who has been working at your company longer than you is your “sunbae” or someone at school who is in a higher grade than you can be called “Sunbae”… Reaper doesn’t have a name since he doesn’t remember his past.

2 wasn't the wrong answer. 4 was the wrong answer. The Goblin gave him the wrong answer on purpose. The test was to see if he had the confidence to stick to the (correct) answer he figured out himself, or take the easy way out and rely on the answer the goblin gave him.
guys, for next drama please watch a couple of my reccomendation, the newphew guy / deokhwa in goblin is playing one of the main characters. pls check it out, he is an amazing actor title Golden Spoon (2023), or Mystic Pop Up Bar (2020). think u guys will like the story
More like the alcohol and the antidepressants lol , it is said one should not mix meds with alcohol and this guy may be a goblin but he took both within the same span of time. I take prescription meds on a daily basis and even though I don’t drink alcohol I am curious about at least trying a few different drinks a some point in my life just to see how they taste but I have come to the conclusion that I won’t be able to do so because when I looked up how long after I take medicine can I drink alcohol, it said 72 hours and that just doesn’t work well with my daily meds.

For fantasy, i recommend Hwayugi/The Korean Odyssey, Alchemy of Souls and the underrated King of Eternal Monarch (the same writer of Goblin, i love this one so much!). As for crime/thriller, i HIGHLY recommend Mouse and The Guest (horror). If you're looking for some romantic comedy i would suggest older kdramas; My Love From The Star, Descendants of The Sun (same writer of Goblin), The Master's Sun, Fight For My Way, Oh My Venus, Healer.
