Good morning Howard, lovely to hear from you & trusting you and Wendy are well! Yes, if there's a lake there must be birds and we have also photographed Teals & Northern Shovelers a few days back at the RSPB Burton Nature Reserve.
We have lots of wetlands up here, & the lake behind our house is a flood plain which is here from October to April, we have thousands of greylag geese visit us also, we are both well , how is the house hunting going, best wishes H&W
Graylags, yes we saw those too in their hundreds. Didn't know you have so much wetlands up where you are cos that would have influenced our decision on the house location....lol We've found a place and it's (still) in Warrington but we'll definitely be traveling all over for birds and for sure Cumbria country again! Say hi to Wendy & puppy dog please.
