Our old Eureka Airspeed we got rid of a couple years ago sounded like a chainsaw too. But I'm so glad we upgraded to the Shark Navigator Liftaway Deluxe.
This thing has insane suction so be careful🌼 I’ve accidentally sucked up charging cords, clothing, and even a rubber cat toy. I mean it’s that powerful. The only complaint is that it’s really not truly meant for wood floors at all. You need a vacuum that has a non spinning brush setting otherwise the dirt just gets flung from one side of the room to the other.
I once paid 30 bucks at goodwill for one of these, it had no clogs and could barely even suck up a crumb, it was was very loud, I had a eureka filter lying around and replaced it, I only had a Hoover belt in the belts drawer so I threw it on, never had any issues with the belt, but when I found my bissell lift off, this thing got slammed on the front sidewalk so hard by me it literally shattered everywhere, to the dislikes and anyone thinking of replying bullcrap, from being a kid into my early teenage years I used to work on vacuums in my free time and resell them, my best one was a kirby g6 for 25 bucks, that I turned into 225 bucks, I did not feel comfortable selling someone something that could not even pick up a crumb with a loud motor for no reason, and some scrapper who went through our trashcan got a free motor and cord to recycle.
