I have no idea what she's talking about, but her voice is hauntingly beautiful.

Why does this give me like... a mermaid vibe? *A mermaid heartbroken... Did she fall for a land man? 😭💗*

I have two ideas on what the song is about; 1. The song is about an abusive relationship, mentally and physically. The male can't help but wish that the woman could make him "feel as hurt" as he made her. He does not want her to leave him. The male wants his partner to "save" him from the guilt he feels. 2. The song is about heartbreak. As the song says; "He says, 'Hate me, break me, let me feel as hurt as you.'" I think that maybe the man had cheated. He feels very guilty and feels the need to feel as broken as his partner. He begs the woman to stay and save him from the guilt. The woman is feeling a bit uneasy thinking that he might just hurt her again, hence the lyric; "She says 'maybe,'" I think 2. makes the most sense.

Gosh I love this song so much! The whole meaning behind it makes me wanna cry! The fact the guy wants her, who is probably heartbroken, to hurt him so he knows exactly how she feels so he can love her better... it brings me to tears almost everytime

no ones going to see this, but if you somehow do then id like you to know.. you are an amazing person, and never let someone treat you any less then you deserve. relationships are difficult, but love isnt ur s/o causing you to have trust issues because of their mistakes, its not constantly going back to someone because you dont wanna be alone even though they treat you like trash. my parents have been in an on and off relationship all my life and it puts so much stress on them and me and my sister. nobody should have to deal with that. leave as soon as you can and move on, its gonna hurt and if you truly cared about them they will always pop back up into your head afterwards, but it isnt love thats keeping them their, its manipulation. take care of yourself and stay safe

He plays his silly mind games which emotionally, spiritually and mentally destroyed her. One day, she wakes up and is about to walk away and never look back since she's had enough and everything's completely broken and empty. In that very moment, he realized how much he loves and needs her in his life and feels regret for everything he's done to her. She's a part of his soul and heart. He begs her to save him by hurting him, pushing him, breaking him and even hating him but just do not let it go. She doesn't feel like it anymore, so she keeps walking away, leaves everything and “us” behind because she knows she deserves better and sadly that's the only way to save them both. We hurt the ones we love unintentionally and we assume that they will never leave us. But one day they will. No one deserves suffer and get hurt.

I think it's about a couple,and the guy broke the heart of the girl and she is leaving him, but he loves her so much he don't want that to happen, so he says to her to break him, hate him, push him and hurt him as much as he hurted her, and then come back to him, love him again and never let him go. She began to walk away when he says, "Hate me, break me, let me feel as hurt as you." She stopped walking, but did not turn. "I know I hurt you," he says, "And you have every right to be angry, but push me, crush me, just promise me you'll never let us go." She continues to walk and says, "there never was an us." He watched as she walked away and the only reason why she did not look back, was because she knew she wouldn't be able to let him go if she did and any attempt she made to save him would be in vain. (BTW, this has to do with Greek mythology, Artemis is the goddess of the moon and hunting. The girl is a hunter of Artemis and she swore an vow to Artemis that she would never fall in love.)

This made me wanna cry because I did something similar in my life, with a loved one before she... left me for someone else, and that I was a brother to her, and I was really happy for her and she and I are like family today, it she has depression and goes through a lot everyday so I ask her to hurt me so she has something else to keep her mind off what was going on with her day, and I will always smile even if she hurts me and takes it too far, because I never am truly hurt by it, and am actually happy because by the time she is done, she completely forgets and apologizes before thanking me every time.

This song makes me cry. I was abused sexually as a child so I grew up terrified of sex. I met my ex this year in January, he was the first man that ever made me feel butterflies. We ended up together in February. For months, he physically and mentally abused me, and raped me twice. Due to how I was abused as a child, I didn’t see him as what he is now, I saw him as someone who needed to be fixed. This song makes me cry because I just see him singing it.

You don't wanna let go but then it comes like a storm against the universe, there's this point where everything collapses and.. It's over. That's when you think maybe you never did enough...
