The domestic seasons might be over for most leagues across Europe but we have a summer festival of football to enjoy as we have the next instalment of the European Championship, Euro 2024 from Germany over June and July. And thanks to EA Sports FC 24's Euro 2024 mode, we are going to simulate how the tournament goes as it happens.
Twenty four teams started this tournament four weeks ago, only two remain for one last match to determine who can call themselves Champions of Europe for the next four years - this is the Euro 2024 final! In this video we see the Netherlands, winners in 1988, look to become champion for a second time as they take on Switzerland, who are playing in their first ever major tournament final.
The Netherlands got here by finishing second in Group C behind Austria, before overcoming Romania, Italy and Scotland on penalties in the semi-final. The Swiss, on the other hand we were the third best-third place team coming out of Group A before beating Slovakia on penalties then Portugal and Belgium in the regulation 90.
