@georgekuma1435 1st of all, many of them were quick and strong as Alba, Alonso, Puyol or Ramos. Secondly, all the other teams tried to beat them using strong and fast players and all of them lost with no problems for Spain. Just shut up and admire the quality of a team with some of the best players ever in their position alongside other legends that conformed and unbeatable team that toyed everyone.
If were being honest spain at their peak was basically barcelona and ramos and casillas. Xabi alonso was good but he would never really play good in the big games. It would have been crazy if messi chose to have played for spain instead of argentina.
Gerard pique Andres iniesta Xavi Hernandez Xabi Alonso Fabregas David Silver Fernanado Torres What a team it was! just goosebumbs of thinking this golden genereation of spain❤️🇪🇦
That was the 3rd time in a row that you saw spain victorious in a big National Cup tournament.. Most dominant and feared national Team in the modern history of football. Greetings from germany :)
In 2008, 2010 and 2012 they were beasts, but from 2014 it's start to getting worse. In WC 2014 eliminate in Group Stage, in UE 2016 in Knockout Phase, in WC 2018 too. Maybe they have very good sqaud, but this isn't 2010 or 2012 squad.
Damn Fabregas is ice cool under pressure! He took the deciding spot pick against Italy in 2008 and he took the deciding one against Portugal in 2012 too
Spain 🇪🇸 became to European champion for the third time ever in history, that is why they deserve to being admired so much with whole hearts, congratulations. 1964, 2008, 2012🥇
Болела за Испинию в тот год и до сих пор. Но эти слезы Пирло рвут сердце. Италия в тот год выступила очень достойно и круто! А легенды сборной Италии Буффон и Пирло навсегда в моем сердце!
Euro 2012. For me the best major football tournament of the 21st century. It had everything pretty much. You can tell European football and actually world football in general was at its peak in 2012. Spain in this tournament I think was the best team I've ever seen.
@Will G 10 I thought 2002 was an awful wc. I'm with you on 2006 even though I thought 2014 was slightly better. But euro 2012 was just perfect in every way. Spain and Portugal was the only match I was a little disappointed with but aside from that I can't complain. The last 2 euros have been the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Very poor besides a couple of games. Even the 2022 wc was mostly disappointing, most of the big teams and players didn't show up. It actually frustrated me that after almost every single game the media would say this is the biggest upset of this wc. If there's that many upsets, then it's a sign it's a level playing field now because the talent in world football has gone down a lot in the last few years. England and France are the only 2 teams which I think have improved in the last few years alongside Morocco.
We won't ever see a better international team than that Spanish 2012 team they were unbelievable. 3 major international trophies on the trot 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻
Times are tough for Spain when players such as Santi Cazorla, Raul Albiol, Sergio Ramos and Jesus Navas are still making the first team for Spain today.
Poland- Lewandowski Sweden- Ibrahimovic France- Benzema Germany- Mario Gomez Spain- David Villa Ukraine- Shevchenko Portugal- Ronaldo England- Andy Carroll....
This is when ramos was converted into a CB. And what a revelation it was. Spain was so freaking stacked with midfield generals, even fabregas played as their center forward.
Croatia was in a group with both finalists Spain and Italy, and in the last game against Spain, 5 points wasn't enough for Croatia to go through so we had to go all attack and in 86 min. received a goal on counter attack. So unlucky.
That's the one title that Germany threw away too easily ... fifteen victories in competitive matches in a row, a world record that stands to this day. One hell of a squad - young and powerful, one of the best Germany has ever had. Won all three matches in one of the toughest groups I've ever seen in a tournament. But they peaked a little bit too early, they grew over-confident and pulled one crappy day against Italy. - Too bad we could not see them play the final against mighty Spain, it would have been a mouth-watering match.
The only guilty in the final game was the coach that entire the tournament with 3-5-2 and in the final game changed the lineup to 4-4-2 and cost him the match, we will not forget the injury of Thiago Motta who finished the game in the 50th minute and also ended the exchanges and finished The game in 10 players. But to tell the truth it was the most beautiful euro I ever saw even though I am an Italian fan
Spain produced a tiki taka masterclass in this tournament. This euros brought an end to the greatest international team of all time. To sign off their dominance against Italy by 4 goals was icing in the cake.Miss those set to players nowadays
Group B had such star power. Germany would go on to win the World Cup 2014, Portugal would go on to win Euro 2016 and won that cup (can’t remember the name) after facing the Netherlands. Portugal and the Netherlands are some of the favourites to win Euro 2020 as well. Meanwhile Denmark...
Without a doubt , the best international tournament of the 21st century. It had everything.Back and forth games( England vs Sweden, Portugal vs Denmark, Germany vs Greece). There were absolute thrashings (Spain vs Italy in the final and Spain vs Republic of Ireland). Fantastic individual performances ( Cr7 in Portugal vs Netherlands, Balotelli in Germany vs Italy, Xabi Alonso in Spain vs France, Gomez in Germany vs Netherlands). There were penalty shootouts ( England vs Italy and Portugal vs Spain). Spain were worthy winners and played their best football. Germany and Italy played very well. England and Portugal had their moments. France and Netherlands didn't play as well as they could've but all in all about as close to perfection as you get with a major tournament.
