You know an ESC song is good and iconic when even after all these years you still remember the lyrics and sing along. After all this time, I've come to realize this is probably the most perfect and impressive vocal performance I have ever seen in ESC. It's literally flawless, as if you're listening to a studio edited version, except you're not. This is true talent.
2023..and this is miles better than any of this years entries...have never forgotten how underrated this incredible vocal performance was from Iceland 🇮🇸 ❤❤❤
Eurovision 2008...what an interesting year! 11 years later and not a single year was even close to it. From interesting songs, to guilty plasures (I see you all my beloved Pirates of the Sea), to underrated songs. 2008 will remain forever a strong year in the ESC archive. So yeah...I'm kinda nostalgic! And now, straight to the point. I love this song, and I love all the performances because all of the singers were having so much fun and joy to sing for all the people around the world! Now...ESC is just like a machine...without substance and soul! GOOD JOB to ESC class of 2008! 🤗🤗🤗 PS: Take care all of you amazing people around the world!
Basshunter was pretty big that year with ‘Now You’re Gone’ & ‘All I Ever Wanted’; Cascada were also very successful too, so Eurodance was still producing some big hits in 2008.
Me too. No freaks, no drag queens or queers on the stage. Only pure-talented singers with their amazing songs and amazing voices❤ Bring back old Eurovision times!
15 years later I come back here to see all the 43 performances of 2008 edition to rank them and Iceland finishes way higher than what it really got back then. This song objectively was top 10 material and their voices matched so perfectly. Such a small country in term of population and yet so much talent discovered through the years! I hope Iceland will win soon enough 🇮🇸
One of the few entries from 2008 I still listen to regularly, 10 years later and it's still an energetic and futuristic banger! Iceland definitely bounced back into action here after 3 years of not qualifying, I remember being shocked they didn't finish Top 10 and it was clear bloc voting was a huge problem. Eurovision fandom also seemed more fun, friendly and chilled back then, if this song was an entry this year it'd get shredded for being 'dated' and not sounding 'cultural' where did all the depression and snobbery kick in?
the 90s was oddly filled with ballads, idk why eurodance slept on it they started showing up in the early 2000s but not only does no one like the early 2000s but they quickly fell out of fashion
This is still probably one of the best songs from 2008. I think another things that’s missing as well is massive stages along with great sweeping jib camera shots. This performance along is full of great camera angles and sweeping shots.
me being form the 79's this is just the kind of music we went to the discos to enjoy all night long. So for me this entry was amazing! Ohh and their vocal performance is just outta this world.
Yes. She was also a backing singer for Maria Ólafs in 2015, and for Yohanna in 2009. Friðrik Ómar (the male half of Euroband) was also a backing singer for Yohanna.
Incredibly cheesy naughties pop but it is performed with conviction and they have stellar vocals which makes it so enjoyable to watch and listen to! 👌🏻
one of the members is doing the jury points of Iceland this year, and one of the backing singers appeared in the 1st semifinal for her song *Scared of Heights*
Я обожаю их. Самая лучшая группа!!! Это песня,которую единственную я запомнила на Евровидение!!! Браво,ребята, люблю Вас, вы должны были выигрывать!!! Люблю!
I remember that day i was child going with parients to watch eurovision in stark arena i think this songs is on top 5 that year.greetings from Serbia❤❤❤
