We went to Marseille to experience French football’s most historic club: Olympique de Marseille. OM is still the only club in France with a European trophy and will play Atletico Madrid this week in the 2018 Europa League Final. Watch Heath Pearce discover OM’s rich history & take-in their clash with Lyon in the Choc des Olympiques from earlier this season.

FLOWPRO AM-MIC You right. Slight handball on Thauvin's first goal, and truly not their corner on Rolando's goal. But all the same, the first Salzburg goal began in in offside position, and you know Marseille got robbed of a clear penalty. No one can win without a bit of luck on their side.

marsiellas ...you right to with that penalty for om,but:look in slowmotion than you sie that the ball jumps from the knie to the hand from caleta-car.1.game the foul an lainer?thorvin with school liga trick hand head hand goal,comon....i have nothing aginst om,love the fans but in 2 games marsielle had 3shots on target....and to stel a final in 116 is poor shit...i think its all about money.hope we see us in champions ligue next season.thanks for comment,sorry my bad english you know were i came from(;-)

If they can win this Europa League, get into Champions League next year and make some noise, and make a push for top 2 spots in Ligue 1....then yes. They can then call themselves on the rise. Only with all those things can they make that claim.

As a Marseille fan, I believe that we are capable of giving a tough match against Atlético and possibly win the EL. It all depends on the players and their will to win. With players like Payet, Thauvin and Mandanda, we should be able to at least fight for the title. #AllezOM

4:10 Vélodrome is not largest football pitch in France, that'd be Stade de France just north of Paris for the national team. If you said largest Ligue 1 pitch, that'd be correct.

COPA90 US If you consider that the Cup Winner's of Cup (C2) is not a major european Trophy, it means that your footage has no cense because the Europa league (C3) was at a lesser level then the C2

Yop I'm a french man and I must say, you capture really well the city. I kinda hate Marseille, because of the history of the club and my background but they have without any doubts one of the best fan base in Europe (although they are sometimes going too far... Remember that fake Valbuena hung after he left for Lyon?)

I don't even hate Atletico, but I've honestly never wanted a team to lose more. Arsenal needed that trophy way more than Atletico. Not only would that have been the perfect way to send off Wenger, but it would've guaranteed us CL football next season. Plus, they have Diego Costa, and I can't stand him. So, I'm betting on Marseille to obliterate Atleti.

Evans O I’m sure the way Atletico looked at it is that it was their last chance to win a trophy with Fernando Torres. You don’t deserve to win just because oh poor Wenger is leaving. You had one shot on target the entire game you weren’t good enough so you lost. Simple. Deluded Arsenal fans as usual.

In hindsight, this was a shitpost. Arsenal had chances in the first leg of the semis and didn't take advantage of them. I shouldn't have cared about this final. Also, "I've honestly never wanted a team to lose more."? That's just a straight-up lie! I mean, Real Madrid was in the CL final for the third fucking year in a row; the Patriots made the third of 4 SB appearances in a five-year span; the Warriors were in the finals (though given it was them vs Cavs for the fourth consecutive year, I wish I hadn't cared about that either).

Its just when you hear people talk about it nowadays their is a confusion that we bribbed the whole championship. In fact it would have never been known le one of the defender didn't spoke 3 weeks later saying je needed to ease his conscience. It was one of the reason why uefa didnt rig us off the champions league

Tchiekgi The reason UEFA didn’t take it away is because you didn’t fix anything in UEFA matches, they can’t punish you for something if it didn’t occur in a UEFA match. But either way to me that CL trophy is marred by that and there will always be that but when speaking about it.

If Marseille is the representative of French football then j'en ai marre vraiment. Let Nantes and Nice and Bordeaux rise up to be in Europe and let Marseille be relegated or rot in the bottom of the table. To be a Paris supporter and want Marseille to do well? An embarrassment to your teams supporters. The CUP would be embarrassed of you, even your own teams players say they are not for Marseille, it's called a rivalry and with Payet and their fans wishing injuries on PSG players you would think to hate them. Besides, Marseille fans were even planning to destroy the Stade de Lyon, to which more police presence had to be arranged. A fan base de connards. Like I said Olympique de MERDE.

Et les Lyonnais alors? Ils ne répresentent pas ligue 1 aussi? What you don't say in your documentary is that you can hear the flies flying in their stadium and in the whole city when their opponent score a goal. They are only hot before the game and when they score. If they are losing by a large score they will leave the stadium before the final whistle(2017 OM PSG 1-5), they don't support their team in the bad moments only in the good ones. You also forgot to talk about the corruption of their president in the 90's and how they win their Champions League.
