Before you make an offer on your dream boat you need to carefully consider where and if you can register the boat. Registration is required France, Belgium and Germany. Along with registration comes taxes - has the VAT been paid on the vessel? Are you importing it from the UK to Western Europe? Be careful, there are a lot of pit falls here. Then comes insurance. Can you get the boat insured? Finally how do you transfer large stacks of Dollars into Euros affordably?
