The X300 is an outstanding medium to long range Patrol Pack.
Features : The X300 was designed with specific input from SF units with a requirement for a strong yet light weight versatile pack which allowed for compartmentalized storage with top and middle opening and exceptional comfort. The requirement was for features such as removable padded belt system variable height Harness adjustment 5 external storage pouches with large main compartment. Additional access is via the large reinforced center pocket this features a heavy duty size 10 sealed seam zip which opens into a medium sized quick access pocket ( the flap opens top to bottom ) this main external pocket is lined with a heavy duty air mesh fabric which has a similar zip which opens ( bottom to top ) allowing convenient access to the middle and bottom of the pack.
The entire pack is covered in 1″ Inch MOLLE Webbing which allows the attachment of various pouches to increase carrying capacity.

55 - 60 Liter - To me, it seems closer to the 55L mark.
….
Review Pros :
I love the overall design of this pack and in fact, it makes me interested in other products from Warrior Assault Systems. It’s obvious that a great deal of thought and planning has gone into this pack and features elements which are uncommon especially in tactical levels packs.
Good looking pack
Narrow profile
Comfortable to wear; more comfortable than many military packs that I have used - I‘ve easily carried 35lbs without any issues and in fact, noticed the weight very little. For myself,
Excellent quality.
Top notch materials
Tons of webbing for customizing and expansion
Lots of pocks for organizing.
Cost in my opinion isn’t a negative as high end materials cost money. You get what you pay for.
Dual access is awesome!
Including rain cover
Review Cons :
My only con is that the waist belt hardware seems to slip when hiking and I’ve noticed that every couple of hours I would have to make an adjustment.
The pack is heavy empty especially for the size; this is because of the high grade of materials.

They also do a 25L called the Pegasus and a 40L called the Predator. Both very cool packs. And a huge 150L called the BMF. Google Warrior Assault Systems. Awesome bits of kit!!! I get my from a English firm called UK Tactical 👍

I can't vouch for their backpacks, but I've used alot of WAS chest rigs and plate carriers and they'll last you your entire life. Although they are pricey, they're actually relatively cheap compared to other manufacturers like Crye Precision. Fun fact, although a UK based company, in recent years, the British SAS/SBS have been seen using Crye (US company) instead of WAS. As from yesterday, the Royal Marines Commandos have also switched completely to Crye Precision. You'd think elite UK forces would use a UK based company but I guess not. Great video as always 👍

At 4:39 that's a grab handle. This is a mil spec backpack. It can be used to grab the backpack fast out of a vihicle or a chopper etc or even , if you stuck, your comrade can grab and pull you out of a situation, using that grab handle.

I am in love. This pack is truly a wonderfully made piece of equipment and at the same time would protect what you put inside it. Grateful the company had you review it. This could get lost in the maze of backpacks on the market. Take care and be blessed Luke and keep the videos coming. I have gotten my Mom watching your videos and we share so many tips. We even use a lot of what you have shared and modified some for our little permanent campsite. Where space is limited you do all you can to be comfy out in nature.

As an Army veteran of 8 years that assault system is awesome. The only flaw I see is no hydration system or pouches to put water bottles. The top compartment I would load that with pogey bait (snacks such as combos, pretzels, jerky and some other goodies). A carribeaner could easily be used to hold water bottles or get the water bottle holder attachments to add.

Great job. I truly appreciate the two of you. Susie is bright & articulate and seems like like a take charge person when it counts. Amazing to have a partner like that. I am handicapped now but I think that I may have a couple of adventures left. You continue to inspire me. I truly appreciate you letting me join you on your many trips. Great impartial review Luke, always respect your stance on reviewing products from international markets, so many similar RU-vidrs to yourself approach it from a "Buy USA made or nothing view" which is kind of a narrow minded view and gets a bit boring, so your open impartial views are always a breathe of fresh air.

I used to love packs that had 'dual access' features. Lately, though, I've been using packs with top access only. Now, I only have one such pack, an Eberlestock FAC Trak, and all my others are top access. The X300 looks amazing. I have no doubt it'd serve a soldier well. I am no stranger to Warrior Assault Systems gear. They overbuild their stuff. Very durable and great quality.

Love military grade packs. . . their weight I will put up with. In my 50 years of backpacking I've had more than one pack fail on a hike, so i tend to go with bomb-proof packs. The packs i am currently using the most is a Karrimor Sabre 30 for day hikes, a Sabre 45 for 2 to 3 day trips and a Saber 75 for winter and extended journeys. You have a great channel, Luke. Thanks and all the best.

It's a winner!! I've gotten to the point where if it's over 50-55L it gets to be to much for me. I would buy it. The only thing is the waist belt, I'd like to see the straps pull forward instead. I've had joint injuries that make it difficult for me to pull backwards but I'd still buy it. Thanks Luke.

Hi! I have used this pack in Scotland. I can say it is really strong! The handles on the side are actually made so you can carry the pack with 2 soldiers to use it as a transport for wounded men. Warrior assault systems has a ton of pouches you can fit perfectly on the pack. Its also really strong to handle a lot of weight. There are also other backpacks from this brand. You have the little cargo pack, the helmet pack, the pegasus pack and the predator pack. I have them all. I use the pegasus pack for little dayhikes en i started using the predator pack for long hikes... its 45l but you can make it larger with the pouches, the onlu thing that everyone should know is. Only the x300 has a raincover all the other packs dont have one. I asked the company why. They said that military prefer to use drysacks on color orientation. You really should review them... they also can get fitted inside with a lot more and can even carry hole radiosets for military uses. Im in love with this brand!

I used Warrior belt webbing and daysacks for many years with the RAF Reserve and was very happy with their performance. Now hoping to hike the GR20 in Corsica next year. Looking at packs at the moment, the X300 with a few helikon pouches on is on my kit shortlist for that expedition.

This pack reminds me of the REI Mars of 2007 with the molly straps and dual entry through the top and front pocket. However REI decided to go with side mesh for water bottles instead of the large zippered pockets. It was also a bit on the heavy side for backpackers.

Nice review, thanks. How does it compare to the other European packs, Fjällräven, Savotta, Varusteleka, etc? All of that MOLLE and those pockets add a lot of weight if you're not going to use all of them. How stable are those side pockets/zippers with pouches attached to them? I could see one, or the other, but both? In addition to your comments, the lack of a hydration port and pocket could be a problem for me.
