this module literally never runs out of things it can do it honestly feels futuristic (just tonight I was watching EIGHT-YEAR-OLD tutorial videos about Yarns that look filmed in 480p... yet NO ONE on the entire internet seems to have unlocked its full power even in 2022, it's like we're all just blind men touching different parts of the elephant...) me personally, I feel like I have about a 2% understanding of this module. And that's enough to quickly and easily route anywhere from 1x to 4x voices throughout a 7U 104hp system or more. Yarns is insane. Mutable Instruments will go down as one of the all-time greats of Eurorack
Thanks for this helpful tutorial Rick. I've been trying to set up a sequence with my Yarns for weeks. I had no trouble setting up the 4M/ 4 parts voicing you explained. However, every time I finish going through the record to steps procedure with my keyboard, when I press START/STOP to play the sequence nothing happens. Is there anything you can think of that I might be missing? I'm totally stuck. I've tried following the only other tutorial I could find on RU-vid countless times as well with no success. Thanks!
I cannot find a straightforward reason for the problem that you encounter. If you check my facebook and connect, we could do a video chat and work through the procedure together to find out where it goes wrong
Besides the course tuning in semitones (funtion TT), each part/cv output and so also each of the four internal oscillators can be fine-tuned in 1/64 steps of half a semitone, both up and down (function TF). The increments per step are so small that it sounds absolutely as a very subtle continous pitch adjustment.
