@DavidSandKnakMUSIK You don't even have to include the entire Balkan. Only from former Yugoslavia there are now 7 countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Macedonia. So I agree, even IF the Nordic countries really do perfom block voting, it's not near on the same scale as the Balkans.
Neighbourly voting is nothing new in Eurovision, whether in Scandinavia or not, it's just that today block voting practically dominates the contest. With Scandinavia, in the old days, if a Scandinavian song had potential it was likely to be very much supported by its neighbours (such as here). It was also sometimes the other way around, completely ignoring each other.
I believe it was a transmission error in the camera filming the scoreboard. If you look at it from the hall, it's actually black and has yellow letters.
@setheurovision94 The diffrence is here, that Scandinavia were 4 nations (5 when Iceland joined in 86), but the countries at the Balcan peninsula is less 25!
