@@DootNoot02 he deserves criticism, but definitely not booing during a live broadcast of a show he and his crew worked their ass off to make it come to air .
I always tried to imagine how the winner's reprise and speech would have worked if Iceland won in 2021, it was a cool to see it come to life, even if it was just pretend. Also Germany getting 296 points LMAO
Yeah, how this would have worked, that's a really good question. And yes, Germany and UK getting so many points is probably so that no one would mistake it for the actual results, I don't know, that's at least my speculation.
A fascinating insight into just how hard the guys work for all contingencies - in this case, if the one "Live On Tape" performance wins, everyone knows what to do. In Liverpool, a home victory was rehearsed for - the floor manager hinted before the show someone with complex staging would "fake win" but from what I understand Mae's risers were infact harder to set (due to video lineup etc) than a certain Panini Press...
@@EdJonesVideos I was also there, so lets give an insight on it. Basically at the end of the points Armenia was tied with another country (cant remember which) and the screen went to Martin Österdahl. (oh beautiful martin) He then announced that in the case of a tie, the country who got the most points from the PUBLIC vote would win the contest. Armenia had more points than the other country so they won. CLICK READ MORE I believe the reason that they chose Armenia was because of the complex staging required to wheel it onto the stage. During the rehearsals most of the artists were not in the Green Room, and where instead backstage preparing for the real show in a few hours time. This meant that Armenias ''Winning (not) Performance'' was sung by a random writer from Armenia who I believe helped in writing the song. For some other information, the Family Show did NOT include the electronic wristbands, like given in the live finale, and confetti cannons were not used. There was also some joking from Graham that that, instead of him meaning to say 'people having the night of their lives' he would instead say 'people having the AFTERNOON of their lives', which he obviously wouldn't say at 10pm at night.
What happened in rehearsal could’ve also happened in the live show: - Finland getting last place in the final - Netherlands getting 42 points from the public instead of zero points - Germany getting 296 points from the public instead of zero points - Spain getting 14 points from the public instead of zero points - United Kingdom getting 99 points from the public instead of zero points
This is a rehearsal show. They practice here hence at some point one person announcing the winner went his way to give Portugal 12 pts. Iceland "won" here to cover that scenario since Dadi got sick.
