As a host country the chances of winning for Italy were very low. But to arrive sixth despite the "bad end" that the host countries make every year, is an excellent goal ❤️

Ukraine has always been at the top of my list but what televoters did to Australia and Azerbaijan was devastating. Australia 2 points seriously!! My heart is broken into pieces.

Congrats UK!! It makes me so happy to see UK and Spain up there together!! After last year i think we deserved it. My top was actually UK, Ukraine and Spain so i couldn't be happier. Thank you for your support to Spain, your reaction to the performance was the best

As a Ukrainian, I second the idea of the UK hosting ESC 2023 as we currently have some more important expenditures. Anyway, it was pleasant to win and the stats of televotes I take as “you’re not alone, we stand with you”. Thank you, Europe and Australia ❤️

UK coming second this year is INSANE!! Especially when we got double 0 points last year... What a turn around and what an amazing representative we had. I really hope Tap Music continue to collaborate with the BBC for the next upcoming years because if we manage to send quality songs like this year I can really see us winning in the next few years. Hosts: Germany gets............. 6 points Everyone watching: "WHOO NOT ZERO!" 🤣 What a brutal result for so many of them though. But Ukraine receiving so much love and support from the televote after everything happening in their country right now makes their win so much more meaningful. They had a really great entry this year that would have done well anyway, so they deserve it in their own right as well.

My top four in random order were Ukraine, Moldova, France and Serbia. I know many votes for Ukraine are out of solidarity (and not pity, that's different) but is not like they had an horrible song and they won anyway. Their song rocks 🤟 Edit a mistake. English not my 1st language I'm Italian.

You always get wrong when it's about Serbia.

I'm ok with Ukraine winning because the performance and the song were actually really really good. I'll put it this way, if it was, for example, Bulgaria's song representing and eventually winning for them, of course, I'd be angry. But that performance was a moment, and for that reason, I say it's a well-deserved win for Ukraine. Oh yeah, and Moldova came 2nd in the televote only behind Ukraine. For me, that just sums up this whole Eurovision season.

Azerbaijan and Australia definitely did not deserve that low points from the public.I am so upset.That is not fair.

If someone in January had to told me that Putin was going to cost the UK a Eurovision win in may, I would have thought I was in the twilight zone. Plus I believe Sam has broken down that wall of UK sending bad songs & getting low points. Mark my words uk will do well again next year.

Nobody believed that Ukraine will withstand more than 72 hours of Russia's invasion except Ukrainians. Now nobody believe Ukraine will be able to host Eurovision 2023 except Ukrainians. I believe the next Eurovision host town will be Mariupol.

I know some are upset, but the fact that UK got 2nd after so many years of bad results is huge. It will lead to bigger things and hopefully now every year the BBC will actually try when they see what they can do when they put effort in!

I'm sincerely disgusted by People getting angry for the Ukraine winning. They won thanks to the POPULAR vote. It was a gesture of solidarity that I fully support.

Such disrespectful reaction, guys. Serbia, Lithuania, Ukraine do not deserve such an attitude.

You guys got the jury voting recorded? That part was actually very exciting this year!

I noticed close countries voting for each other again, BUT in the case of Moldova, which had a unionist song with Romania, it received 0 points from Romania. Turns out Romania actually voted maximum points for Moldova but EBU erased the Romanian votes and gave them to Ukraine. What's worse is that in the show they said it was a "technical problem" when showing the Romanian presenter, when in fact she was denied to present the votes. ..in the end further inflating Ukraine's votes. ..but it did create a controversy, Moldova saying "We did a song about you and you gave us 0 points??"

I really enjoy your comment even if sometimes I do not agree with you, but really, I wish italy will never win Eurovision again, since we took such an amount of hate and racists insults this yaer that for me is enough for the next 40 years. I don't rembember such a treatment for other nations; even EBU had to to make a statement to stop verbal aggression against the italian staff. We did our best, sorry if you are disappointed.

Each jury has 5 members. Each member gives her/his votes independently and secretly, members cannot see each other or talk to each other.Then the votes are calculated using a special formula to get those magic results from each jury, which is pretty complicated. Saying that jury liked this or didnt like that is not very wise because we will never know what song each member voted for, unfortunately.

I think literally any other year, the UK wins this. I wasn't personally in love with the song, but it clearly resonated with the jury and public.

People are saying that if it wasn’t for Ukraine politics, it would actually be Spain winning it, and UK in second.

Hi! I voted for Czechia and Poland last night, their SONGS were closest to my taste. Before the show I made a list of my favs, Ukraine 8th, UK 9th. UK was really good live, well deserved 2nd, also Ukraine winning, I am happy for this result, despite my country ended up 21st 🤔

I think had Ukraine not participated uk would still be second because the public loved moldova and spain more. All those points would have gone to them over uk since it came fifth in televote. Spain only trailed the UK by 7 pt so again i still don’t think the UK would have won.

"Italy production is so grrrr!!!" "Camera staff is horrible!" Rai and Ebu had organized an excellent Esc edition this year with a great international hosts that no one Esc edition have seen. Don't you? I think there's been a lot of horrible prejudice about italian production. Italian television is one of the best european production. I remember you that we organize every year an huge musical show with huge live orchestra called Sanremo which is the father of Eurovision. You must be respectful and informated about us.

I think Ukraine definitely get lots of sympathy point with people voting them even if they don't really like the song. But I guess we can treat it as a symbolic gesture that Europeans stand with Ukraine. Personally, I thought Ukraine song is pretty good/fun and is one that I don't skip on my Spotify playlist, so it wasn't too painful to watch them win. I am shocked Azerbaijan and France got very low points and Moldova very high points. Serbia getting 5th place is great! It's a very art house song, but it does grow on you over time. Given the war in Ukraine, even if the war finished before next May, I think they won't have the infrastructure, finance, logistics, etc. to host. I am also unsure what the public reaction will be if they are wasting money on hosting ESC instead of rebuilding cities. There is also of course safety concerns with live mines or ordinance left by Russia... you don't want some random Eurovision fans stepping on land mine and explode. I totally agree that either UK or Spain should co-host ESC 2023, since they are 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Please not another Swedish hosted ESC, it's getting boring haha. I'm interested in seeing what becomes of these jury votes issues with Azerbaijan, Georgia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania and San Marino. And also why is there 3 countries with technical difficulties during the jury vote section? EDIT: Also as Australian resident, Australian getting 2 televote points (2nd from last after Switzerland) was funny! Sheldon Riley was decent but I definitely think there are better songs. I know from the beginning that we won't win, so ending up 15th place overall is perfectly acceptable.

Regarding your reactions to the performance of the Kalush Orchestra: 1. As always, your reactions to the votes always make me entertained (especially to the votes of Serbia 🤣), I'm only sorry that at the end of the video you defined our production "awful", in my opinion it was an enjoyable show, with some problems for sure (the question del sole also disappointed us Italians) but RAI did everything possible to make the show pleasant, moreover our conductors interacted often and willingly with the public which had not been seen for a long time at Eurovision, but okay, they are tastes, certainly better you who have called us terrible than the people on Twitter who have wished us earthquakes and other disasters in my country. Hello! As I said in the comment section of a previous video I was cheering for UK's Sam Ryder and I'm really happy for the result! A bit disappointed for Sweden's Cornelia Jakobs... You know, I don't like the Spanish song even though I can't deny Chanel delevered a fantastic performance. Very good job by her, just not my style. Our own Italian diamonds did good but not great as they should have and the way they're are capable of. Televotes could have been a little better and pushing them in Top 5 but still a decent result. Congratulations to Ukraine!
