We have so many differently placed songs (for instance, I love Spain, Georgia, and Czechia), but I also appreciate the love for some of the same songs - Latvia, Malta, Slovenia, Finland, Austria... Also, thank you so much for 12th place from Croatia! The song grew on me so much! Also, I agree about Denmark and The UK... sadly. About Sweden too, as it's currently my 20th. What I love the most about your list is that it feels like your actual personal list, and not an aggregator. We need more of that!

putting poland right after sweden is a power move and i think i'm here for it anyway latvia and malta deserved the final, and even if i don't like switzerland this year i was expecting them to get lots from the jury... these results are crazy, juries and televotes formed a hivemind around sweden and finland respectively so many countries that deserved it didn't get many points :( also i kinda expected israel to get 200+ points from the televote but around 180 isn't that bad
I can’t understand why juries decided not to support Armenia and Switzerland this year. Good vocals, amazing staging but still ignored by juries. I don’t really mind for Switzerland even tho I like the song and I enjoyed the performance so much, but Armenia is my winner and it hurts to see how robbed she was.

I agree with your comments, but since you were such a huge fan, I wasn't expecting a 16 place drop. Well, they are great guys with a lot of talent so I hope they can still have long careers. Omg that jump for Croatia and Austria! I did not see that coming for either of these songs. Since I've always loved Austria I'm glad you're a fan now too. And I love that Belgium grew quite a bit as well. I am certain Latvia qualifies with the juries as well. Poor Latvia - they deserved to finally make it to the Grand Final! Love that Slovenia is 3rd place - they're 2nd for me. Could not agree with your comments more regarding their performance - cannot believe they finished 21st. I had them as a potential top 5 finisher! I wondered if Malta might become your winner, just because their performance was SO good. Obviously, I agree with your comments 100%. I was so brokenhearted when I saw they got 3 points. And to repeat what you said, worst crime of Eurovision ever. No one will ever convince me otherwise. (Btw, Idk if you remember that Norway was originally my winner - but as the pre-parties went on, Malta moved into that spot for me, where they have stayed.) And Greece - poor Victor. He deserved so much better. He seems like such a sweetheart and he has tons of talent (still amazing he wrote the song himself). I want only the best for him. I hope we are still hearing about him making music years from now. And yes, maybe one day he returns to Eurovision.

Great top, Marissa! I'm also so sad how the ERT treated Victor... He deserved so much more. Despite it didn't qualify, it will remain my all-time favourite Eurovision entry. And I totally can't wait to see what's more in store for him in the future. I'm pretty sure he will have a lot of success.

I appreciate having Greece as your winner, since everyone literally hates our entry here in my country. Casual viewers are like "why is he going to Eurovision instead of school?" and try to justify their negativity by saying stuff like "he needs to realise he has no talent before it's too late" or "Victor deserves the hate because he cheated to go to Eurovision". I am disgusted by my people sometimes. Also how was Italy underrated in 2013 if they got 7th place? 'L'essenziale' is one of my favourite songs (in general, not just in Eurovision), but I feel that 7th place was deserved. Oh, and I believe that Sweden got 243 points because of the singer and not the song. Any casual viewer I asked said that he/she was not impressed and that the song is a shouty version of 'Euphoria' and nothing more.
oh, you should definitely feel disgusted by it. there is also a line somewhere, and many people are crossing that shamelessly. i feel like 2013 was quite a weak year and l'essenziale was one of the few songs i loved there, so that's why i felt like it was underrated. but in general of course it did well, but it just deserved top 3 for me. and honestly, i do agree with you about a part there about sweden. i feel like most people who are watching only the live shows are thinking like this 'hey that's loreen from euphoria. wow, i recognize her. okay, cool song. let's vote.'
@@escmarissa People who spread that negativity about Victor should give his song one more listen, since the lyrics are about them. No wonder that he decided to put his career on hold.
Knowing a performer is a previous winner doesn’t really automatically make people vote. Remember, other countries have sent winners again but failed. Tattoo also had a lot of streams even before the final so the song itself is a bigger factor.
@@Peter_File69 Agreed but Loreen isn't just any Eurovision winner, but the singer of legendary 'Euphoria', and 'Tattoo' was very similar to that song (though not nearly as good). Alexander Rybak may have returned in 2018 but 'That's How You Write A Song' was nothing like the legendary 'Fairytale'.
