Also let me know if you’d like to see more videos like this in the future, and feel free to comment any suggestions you may have for future uploads.

swedish person here, the high security is partially because of pro palestine protests but also because the terror threat level (i believe thats the english name) is quite high in sweden and since eurovision is such a big event the security had to be super high

You did an amazing job with this video, an amazing watch. I’ve watched quite a few videos on Eurovision and many have been really negative which is fair because,, Eurovision could’ve really been better. But also hearing pros such as the hosts being wonderful, the artists powering through and making that room for their fans really warms my heart! Now a little of my own opinion, Truly, the EBU did not do a good job with all the drama so I completely agree there,, and to be quite fair I don’t think Russia, Israel or Ukraine should be in Eurovision. I feel so much tension was brought by Israel because so many people have strong opinions and really, if Russia was included, the same thing would happen. The strong opinions really shine through and having countries that are currently in war make this “non-political” music competition VERY political. And no matter what it’ll be political but these countries should really be focusing on fixing issues, not on a contest.
@Janecas

I share your opinion. A contest that emerged to cement peace should not allow that any country in active war to participate, including Ukraine. It’s not up to the EBU to take sides and by doing so it does more bad than good, because the institutions is used as propaganda

I went to all 3 evening previews and my tickets were under 200 euros each, but adding in hotel (I stayed at a cheap hostel), flight, and food I would estimate 1.5k to 2k euros total - I'm sure the average price for others was much higher, so make sure you have the savings if you decide to attend!

The Hooked on A Feeling guy actually competed in Eurovision twice in 78 and 81. The first time they'd just reimposed the native languages rule and he was going to rebel and sing in English and then he chickened out and had a moment where he forgot the Swedish lyrics. I don't think since Benjamin Ingrosso got 20 points in the televote in Lisbon he's coming back anytime soon or winning if he does.

Cant agree on benjamin ingrosso, was do ready for him to be done half way through his 2nd song. I also diagree on the camera angles. There was sone really terrible angles that svt pushed for as they wanted to show off things they had done Semi 1 also had really terrible sound mixing through out. Semi 2 sounded so much better

It's still not clear what exactly happened with Joost Klein and this employee. But it will take a few months because Joost asked for witnesses to be heard too. The Netherlands and Norway are seriously contemplating if they are going participate in 2025.

Hi! So basically watched eurovision at home I live in the U.S.A and sometimes it hard being a diehard eurovision fan and making it hard to connect it to other people but I thought that this year was good in terms of production value which I think malmo killed it and I only watched the grand final so I can only comment on that. The songs each one was good I wasn't bored with any of them but I felt the tension and drama even with being at home with was a eerie feeling and one I didn't feel last year when I watched eurovision at home it felt awkard to say the least and I was booing when Martin came on the screen. I think the interval acts in the final were dissapointing and agree that they should have been more ABBA. But overall the production and songs were good this year it would have been better if the final in my opinion had better interval acts and less drama of course so I would give it a 6/10 Congrats to Nemo btw!

Common misconception. Security in Malmö wasn't tight because of Israel participating, Sweden had already raised its terrorist threat level back in the summer of 2023. So that had very little to do with Israel participating, for the larger crowds security. In the meanwhile, a Jewish young woman from Israel could not leave her hotel room for most of the time. In Europe. Think about it. And let's jump back to 1973, the year Israel first entered the contest. Members in the audience were warned not to stand up during the show, as they might get shot. So hey, security measures are not really anything new?

Say what you want about Israel's actions, but they have a right to take part in Eurovision as a member of the EBU that hasn't broken any rules, and Eden Golan has done nothing wrong to deserve this and should be treated the same as everyone else!

The day after ESC 20 year olds were "friendly fired" upon. If she didn't do ESC, she would have been part of the IDF & she is proud & happy about that. Perhaps look up some pictures of those tents in Rafah? THAT is what netanyahu WANTS & what she is happy to represent! She is not there as a person, she's REPRESENTING a horrible government which does unspeakable things to children. She only was booed & that's completely alright as that is a form of PROTEST. We still are allowed to SPEAK UP when these atrocious wars are happening. What is stupid is that the EBU let KAN participate, yet the EBU said they are in favour of journalism. How that state treats journalists, see Shireen Abu Akleh or the banning of Al Jazeerah & even AP, was however completely ignored by the EBU. Yet Belarus was banned by the EBU because they jailed ONE blogger, yes one(1!) & a blogger, not even an accredited journalist. So, no that country has NO RIGHT to take part in ESC, they just do that to pinkwash their image...

ok, let’s compare Russia and Israel. Firstly, Israel was attacked by hamas, whereas Russia attacked Ukraine. Clearly, this shows an evident difference; Israel was defending itself, while Russia was attacking. Using this knowledge, if you believe that Israel should be banned for defending themselves, then why shouldn’t Ukraine be? As they were also defending. You are so falsely mistaken it is crazy. Moreover, another point is how stupid competitors like Bambie thug and Nemo were. They are both non-binary contests and I fully support them. However, the fact that they support Palestine is crazy to me. Do they not acknowledge that if they went to Palestine or Gaza they would immediately be killed via hanging or getting thrown off of a roof. Thus, they are pretty much supporting their own deaths. Conversely, in Israel, they would be openly supported and Israel supports lgbtq. Taking this into account, I do not understand how any person part of the lgbtq community could support Palestine.
@Janecas
@Janecas 3 месяца назад
Your pre-recorded discourse, we’ve all heard, read it before. But WHY did Israel participated this year? The fact that one is allowed, doesn’t mean you have to do it. If Israel would have withdrawn, think everyone would have a lot more respect because it’s participation is simply a power trip, to show it can, it’s influence, surely not to be united by music… and to me, by doing so, you lost more than you think, even with a bought televote. After the show, support for Palestine was bigger, non Israeli fans lost admiration and respect, and many that were indifferent to the topic, now have a different position. No one likes things when they are imposed and Israel acted as that family member that is only invited because it has to, no one wants him around, he knows that and he only shows up to ruin everyone’s party
@annhenriques3520

There is a huge difference between wanting to support Palestinian citizens suffering a genocide and supporting a terrible Palestinian government. Just as I support Israel as a country but not their current government with a leader more concerned with staying in power to avoid corruption charges than achieving a peaceful solution.

Maybe people will hate me , but I have to say it - why that stupid song Europapa was so popular , I just don't understand. It's just too much goofy for me . And how rude he was to that young girl from Israel ... Didnt like that, because whatever you think about that whole situation, for fu... sake don't pour it all out on one young girl . Him being trown out made a difference probably with the votes , but overall - who cares. I know I was totaly ok with not winning 😅 In my mind was - who the f.... will pay for Eurovision here in Croatia if Marko winns ?!?! Sad, but true. The fact is - you don't have to winn Eurovision , just performing there can get an artist a lot of fame .
@sldorhout1
@sldorhout1 3 месяца назад
That you don't like the song is not an excuse to put Joost in a bad corner and to justify the overproportional measures that were taken by the EBU. Golan choose to represent Israel and tried to clean up the image for the genocide her country is causing at the moment, She knows exactly what she's doing and so did her team. Nothing innocent about that. Joost was a serious candidate. His song is about loss and while travelling through Europa and trying to celebrate , he faces his deamons and give into grieve...which is also a part of life. There are more artists having problems with the organisation. And we can do without Israel as sponsor. I rather have less security and less expensive lights, and rather a great show with same minded people. Celebrating music and diffrences with peace instead of covering up war crimes.
@katarinadorotic4382
@katarinadorotic4382 3 месяца назад
@@sldorhout1 claiming that Eurovision is covering war crimes is just too much. They do not care . I would bet on that, and I am not a person that likes to bet. And I said I don't like the song, didnt from the get go, and later my opinion of the person singing it also went down. And with all this shit with Israel and Palestine - you know what I think about ? Our war, begining of 90-ies , former Yugoslavia . Who gave a fuck about us, at the begining? Nobody . They all just made it harder . And at the end of the day , I am so sorry for all the people that have to go thru war ....but I am also just so glad its not me again.
@sldorhout1
@sldorhout1 3 месяца назад
@@katarinadorotic4382 Horrible what happened in former Yugoslavia. And I think you should know people cared back than even though they were not heard. One of the good things about social media is that people have a voice, weather you like it or not. Hope you're ok and wish that for all the people. And I don't hate you for not liking Joost's song ;) But that doesn't justified the victime role Israel tried to play this year ( they had to change the song 3 times!). They also harrassed the contestants who were not pro Israel. EBU should care about that, because Eurovision was organised to bring Europe back together after the WO2. And we need that still today. Russia was expelled and so should Israel.
