This semi is so hard to predict because for my personal opinion the most strongest songs are in the first half, but usually the second half is a better running order chance, it's so tricky and I honestly don't have confidence in my predictions yet, I need to wait for the rehearsals My big wish though is for Bambie to qualify! Heyy, very interesting predictions! I love the discussions around it and you always manage to say something positive about every song which is really nice! My personal prediction for qualifiers is: Lithuania, Ireland, Ukraine, Poland, Croatia, Slovenia, Finland, Australia, Portugal, Luxembourg. For Serbia: I love this song, it's my 11th place in general but I think it'll be hard for her to qualify. Calm ballad in the death spot and it's televoting only. However, I'd love to see Europe proving me wrong lol Cyprus: It all kinda depends on how it'll be performed live. The song isn't bad but the song feels a bit too generic and there isn't really a lot of diaspora support here either except for Australia. Ireland: I'm so on the fence with this one. They know how to perform and personally, I love the song and it's in my top10. The song is a lot to digest, which is why people either love it or hate it. I think tho, there will be just enough people loving this for a qualification. Poland: A lot of diaspora. Also, please don't come for me, but I love this song, it's my personal winner this year and I feel like she's gonna have a beautiful staging. Hopefully. Please, Poland, don't ruin the staging. Australia: The song isn't the most unique one, but they know how to perform and they can sing. They have tons of charisma and I think this will be an energetic performance with a great staging. I'm already so excited and I can't believe how close we are to Eurovision again. Only 1 more month!!!

Australia will qualify because EF are insane when they perform live! Z's got a killer voice and amazing stage presences plus I know they will have a very interesting stage Portugal I also think will qualify, the song is so special and I think she has the best vocals out of all the women this year ❤

Oh man yes, this is an extremely hard Semi to predict! So much quality this year. I do differ from you guys a bit. Qualifiers: Lithuania, Ireland, Ukraine, Poland Croatia, Slovenia, Finland, Australia, Portugal and Luxembourg Non-Qualifiers: Cyprus, Serbia, Iceland, Moldova and Azerbaijan. A couple explanations - Ireland: I know this one is a love it or hate it song. Since you can only vote FOR songs and it has a really passionate fanbase I think it might edge ahead of more medium songs. (regardless of running order) - Cyprus: it's a great song, but I'm worried kicking of the show it will miss people that join late. I'm worried the song isn't strong enough to overcome that. - Serbia vs Portugal, I really think only one of these will go through in televote only. While I think Serbia is a stronger ballad, Portugal has an infinitely better spot. - Moldova: I never completely count out Moldova because no one transforms a song like they do. If anyone can pull off an upset it is them but ya I'm starting to think the song isn't strong enough. - Luxembourg: I'd be STUNNED if this didn't qualify. Them closing the show is the producers wanting to make sure Luxembourg qualifies so they come back next year.

Moldova isn't a big favourite of mine but I still prefer it to Lithuania. Quite a downgrade from Sentimentai a couple of years back. Yet it has hype, could it be the fan flop?

@@joebloggs396 I dunno, I would by lying if I said I wasn't worried about Lithuania not qualifying. It's super early. I personally really love the song, I find it interesting and I love hearing the Lithuanian language. I think in a similar way to Ireland, it may come down to the fanbase turning out.

Bambie Thug will be the shock of the night. Incredible live vocalist (listen to her at the madrid preparty, that was a nightclub and was better than the terrible RTE studio sound mixing). Also since she's a trained dancer and theatre professional with a big artistic vision I feel the live performance and staging will just be a huge shock in a good way
Poland will qualify! There are a lot of East European countries. Serbia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Croatia, Slovenia and Moldova will definitely vote for Poland, enough to qualify. Love from Simba, Belgium 🖤💛❤
Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Moldova usually don’t vote for Poland and not all of these countries are „Eastern European”. But I also think that Poland will qualify because of having Iceland, Ireland, Germany, UK, Ukraine and Lithuania voting - they usually vote for Poland.
This might be unpopular, but I really don't see Cyprus qualifying! If you open the show you have to be outstanding in some way or a big fan favourite to qualify... and the Cypriot entry this year is very generic and some of the lyrics are extremely cheap! Although Silia is a great dancer her vocals are NOT THAT good nor outstanding... I think Ireland will Q instead! The Irish entry is extreme enough to grab people's attention and Ireland can really be a dark horse this year, if people loved Hatari in 2019 why wouldn't they love Bambie as well?
For me, Iceland and Moldova are the sure NQ's. And for the other 3 NQ spots, I feel it's between Cyprus, Serbia, Ireland, Poland, Slovenia, Azerbaijan and Australia. Out of those 7 songs, 4 will qualify and 3 won't. And for me at the moment, the 3 NQ's of that list are Slovenia, Azerbaijan and Ireland. The remaining 6 songs, along with the 4 'borderline' ones, will qualify.
The only problem with Ireland is because of the strange voice effects. How it goes as a live act might decide this." found out the truth la la" is lazy writing to not finish the lyrics for the Cyprus song so I do not know how it will go well with the judges.
