It's under two weeks until we're in Malmo for Eurovision, so in this video, I will be predicting which 10 songs I think will qualify from Semi Final 1 of Eurovision 2024 on Tuesday 7th May!
This isn’t my personal top 10, simply a prediction but feel free to let me know down below which 10 songs you think will make it through!
This years Eurovision entries are as follows:

I don’t think I’ll ever make a prediction more wildly off than Ireland not qualifying - feel like THE biggest idiot given it was my favourite of the night 😭😂

I defo see Ireland qualifying. Very unique, tele vote only, people only vote for songs they like not songs they don’t like therefore the “divisive” nature of the song won’t factor.

Very possibly true! Not all divisive songs make it, I guess that was my point, but I hear your argument for sure!

I absolutely love Lithuania as well! I think you're spot on about Poland. Poland has a lot of televote friends in this semi-final. With Ukraine, the UK, Ireland, and Lithuania all in this semi-final, Poland is a very likely qualifier for me (much closer to being a sure thing than borderline). They will most likely receive 8-12 points from each of those 4. Iceland and Germany have both given them televote diaspora points in the past as well. That's basically guaranteed mid-table and higher points from almost half the countries in the semi. Some other countries in this semi would be very hard-pressed to put up numbers like that.

Australia will qualify. We’ve saved so much money so far, so I bet it’s all being spent on staging! Electric Fields are a live band (just like Voyager who had very little live last year and still won their Semi and came 9th).

I do not like Poland this year.. just meh...My 12th place in the semi. I actually hope Ireland makes it, and that means the other witch - Raiven - is out, my 13th :( When it comes to Finland, I get that a lot of party-people will embrace this, but most of the "fun votes" will be channelled towards Croatia as Baby Lasagna is the best of the two - Finland might just lose out. It is my 11th in semi one. Moldova and Iceland are out, unfortunately, my 14th and 15th.

I definitely think Baby Lasagna will get more of the fun votes, which is why I made the comparison with Let 3 last year who were able to qualify in the same semi as Kaarija. I think this could do similar or even better because the semi is notably weaker than last years semi that I’m comparing it to.

Could happen! Other than thinking Croatia will win the semi, I have no clue of the order they’ll end up in!

I agree with you. I respect all opinions, but I definitely see ireland qualifying. If see Cyprus as being far from a safe qualifier if not all from the first half can qualify.

I don't wanna live in a world where Finland, Cyprus, Poland, Australia and even Serbia qualify and Slovenia doesn't. I get your concerns, but Roxanne and Iru had bad performances. Roxanne's didn't catch the feeling of the MV and her voice was weak, and Iru had a nice vocal performance but she was very static, nothing happened throughout the performance. I trust Raiven's vision, we have Serbia and Croatia on the semi to help boost Slovenia a bit, and among the ballads this is the only "power", "epic", "dark" ballad. BTW all 3 ballads in this semi are very different, I can see them 3 making it instead of the 3 girl bops (Cyprus, Luxembourg and Poland) Other than that, your prediction seems precise, good job

I just think sometimes “dark” struggles at Eurovision because it doesn’t seem as inviting to vote for but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if Raiven made it too! We’ll see how it translates to stage in just a few days and all of my feelings could be completely wrong ❤️
