Look. Two weeks ago I posted this: "Israel has already had 2 songs rejected by EBU and I agree the lyrics are too connected to recent events, so I've decided that if they eventually participate in this year's Eurovision I won't be talking about them, I won't do a reaction and they'll be last in my top. SAME AS ICELAND IF THEY EVENTUALLY SEND BASHAR MURAD, because it's clearly not the best song and if he wins it will be for political reasons that won't have room in this channel. I've finally made this decision so I just wanted you to know, I hope you understand it🤗" I realise I should have explained myself better in the video and apologise if it sounded agressive, I didn't mean to and I have nothing against Israelis in particular. I forgot you don't follow me and don't know me or my thoughts on this topic, so I should have explained myself better in the video. Lesson learned. I understand you are suffering. Wars are a terrible thing. And I didn't expect this strong reaction from you, so much hate... It makes me really sad to see in which world we are living... I just want peace. And don't take a contest so seriously!

The thing is that your decision is exactly the same that anti westeners and antisemites are taking. Boycotting israel. It's as if you were marching with them side by side. So people are gonna treat you like they would to an anti westener or antisemite. I don't think it's personal and they are not gonna care if you said it in advance. That's even a fallacy, if you said in advance that you were gonna do something wrong, in the end it's still wrong.

Com'on girl. Don't exaggerate. I am from NL. I have to say you something. You say "I don't think I deserve all this hate I'm receiving." All this hate?? What hate? You can't handle a dozen of remarks on your YT channel? Oh, what a drama. So you can imagine how the Israeli fans feel getting real hate - not only from Hamas and half the world in real life, but now also from their Eurovison friends. They are in the mid of the war, you know. They have emotions. I don't think the Israeli Eurovision fans deserve all the hate THEY are receiving, and that's a way more than a few comments on your channel. I think you can not silence other countries' artists and emotions. That way you will never understand each other and come closer. Love to the Israeli ESC fans - United by Music. ❤

Doing something wrong it's still wrong even if you said in advance that you were going to do it. Boycotting a country usually doesn't get in return happy comments from that country.

Based on that response the only one who cannot handle criticism is yourself. No one was hating on you, and no one knows you personally. Any comments of criticism you received were based on the statement that you put out. There is a clear lack of reflection and accountability on your behalf. Very disappointing.

Laura, so sorry to hear that you are getting all these negative responds. Please don't take them to seriously, this is online and people are giving all kinds of responds to what ever you say , in whatever you do. Just read the positive messages and leave the haters with there '...' speech ;-)

I wonder if you had the same feelings towards the Ukranian (but not only Ukranian) songs in past years. From your words, it sounds that this is the first time a song that refers to actual events appears in the contest. Looks like you were offended that Kan (the Israeli Brodcasting Authority) presented twice lyrics that were rejected by the EBU. Who are you kidding? If you really get into the lyrics, you'll discover that it's about pain and hope. What's political about that? You placed it last, you like it or don't like it - it's your call, but at least have the decency to include Israel in the alphabetical list of countries in your comments. Omitting it from the list will not make Israel disappear. I think that reveals your true position.

Laura, te doy un poco de contexto para que entiendas por qué el país que pusiste ultimo hizo una canción referenciando a la masacre que sufrió. Eurovisión es un evento muy importante en ese país. La canción que se elige se convierte en el himno del pueblo durante el tiempo en que dura el programa y en muchos casos se convierten en canciónes clásicas. El 7 de octubre el país vivió la peor tragedia de su historia moderna. No hay ningún ser humano allá que no tenga la cabeza en la situación actual, en algún ser querido que está en la guerra, secuestrado, herido o fallecido. Hubiera sido ridículo que el himno del pueblo fuera una canción divertida o muy fuera de contexto. Por el contrario era necesario hacer una canción que pueda unir a la gente, reconocer el dolor que todos están sintiendo ahora. Te lo digo porque seguramente lo tomaste como si fuera una propaganda para el exterior, pero no pasa por ahí, no hicieron esta canción para el exterior ni para ganar el concurso, esta canción es un regalo para la gente y todos los que estuvimos afectados por la masacre del 7/10 estamos muy emocionados por esta canción. Es un homenaje y si no te gusta realmente no pasa nada. Seguramente tu país también tuvo sus momentos tristes y no estaría bueno que alguien se ponga a juzgar cómo decide tu pueblo vivir esa situación o rendir homenajes. Un saludo.

Y me quedo corto con decir que la gente está triste, el 23% de los israelies sufren de estrés post traumático y la gente vive con miedo de salir a la calle. No es facil vivir con cohetes volando sobre tu cabeza todos los días, con sirenas, teniendo que correr al bunker, sabiendo que si sales a la calle en cualquier momento puede aparecer un jihadista matando a todo lo que se mueve. Ni hablar del riesgo constante de una escalada regional. Es importante ser empático. Te di todo el contexto porque sonó bastante insensible lo que dijiste.

Supernice view on your top, my fav. Is actually Norway, Italy, Portugal, Armenia and Croatia, . I also like that there are a lot of countries who are singing in the native language. You think people are stupid or what. This is a propaganda song attached to the current sad situation in your country. That goes against the principle of the Eurovision contest of bringing people together and leave the ongoing conflicts out. Changing a few lyrics fools nobody.

@@harpoon2445 it's not a propaganda song. It's a song that represents the sentiments of the whole nation. It actually makes most people from that country cry everytime they hear it. It's a similar case like the song of ukraine that was the winner of eurovision. You expect countries that are suffering to sing a happy song, only from a place of absolute privilege you could expect that. You probably never even hear a real bomb in your life. So please don't judge people that have that on their daily basis.

Great ranking! Slovenia has gotten a bit overlooked lately, but it's a song made with a performance in mind and has massive staging potential. I could see Slovenia jumping in the odds when we see Raiven's performance at the rehearsals.

I don't think is the best song either. It may be emotional for Israelis but I think for the rest of us is just a nice ballad... Even Michael Ben David with "I.M." was better and he didn't reach the finals (which is a thing I'll never understand...)

To be honest i don't think Spain will finish last, I think Germany will. Nebulossa has a specific public (nostalgia, older generation) that could vote for it, but Isaak's song is very bland and uninteresting and doesnt appeal to any specific group. You're the first one I see with Slovenia as your #1 tho. Mine is Croatia 😼

Define "Political" please. Because when Ukraine sent multiple songs about pain and loss of war they took first place twice, and never faced scrutiny and "politicization". I think something is political when it endorses an ideology, a politician, or certain world view. What is never political is human pain, and human loss. The Israeli song was merely conveying the sentiment the people feel, which is loss and trauma. It was never explicit even before the lyrical changes which were posted. It is very ironic that yet again Europe is making Jewish pain and suffering "political". No other nation has ever faced that sort of double standards. So yes, we do find your reasoning absurd and hypocritical. @@laubariesc
