Omg absolutely loving Deban. The bad cop and good cop dynamic between William and Deban this year (which is much more pronounced than previous years) is so enjoyable. Had me in stitches. Intolerable song btw
I’m irish and don’t usually like our songs but for the first time since 2015 that I actually really like our song. I think it’s catchy, fun and upbeat. Her voice is good and I’m sure the staging would have been nice. Would it have qualified? Doubtful but not impossible, definitely. She’s my number 11 overall and it’s an 8 from me
I’m absolutely howling!!!! 😂 Man I love Deban! Whilst the others are giving their opinion one by one, you already know how he feels.....from the epic eye rolls, to the sighs, the yawns and the looking at the camera in complete and utter disgust, Deban is a meme! 😂 I’m referring to him lovingly as ‘Deban Downer’ from now on 🤣 Ps: I don’t think the song is offensive in any way. It’s just juvenile sounding at times and incredibly shouty. I can understand the sound if Jedward had been put forward to sing it but I think Lesley deserved much better.
I'm with Deban again. It sounds dated. I am a proud supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, but I felt nothing with this song. With other songs on a similar theme, I have felt moved, but with this song, nothing :(
Good review! If only Deban could contact RTE for us as they won’t listen to the fans and they don’t want to win eurovision again! I really wish whoever said it was banger, didn’t say it.. it went so public and it got such a bad wrap, like my country would bring a euphoria 2 🤪 the late late show is really bad platform for show casing Irish songs - don’t ever watch it. Thank you William and all! Deban is so funny 🤣
I think Ireland took a step in the right direction! It’s fun and upbeat and really anthemic. I think if Lesley comes back next year (hopefully she does) she’ll have an even bigger bop with a modern sound! This is such a good entry though 🇮🇪
Give some love to Queen Deban! He just got bullied! Yes, I have to admit that when he's dissing on a song I love, he sounds too bitter and annoying BUT, when he's pointing out the flaws of a mediocrity that everyone else is inexplicably worshipping, his voice sounds like a hymn from heaven. Like " go girl, speak it out ,finally someone who is not deaf" . Generally, I prefer seeing someone with loud, raw or even edgy oppinions even if I disagree with many of them. Someone who is always too polite and kind of likes everything is not only unfair but also boring. Let your passion shine, Deban! Agreeing AND disagreeing with you are both fun.
I have really mixed feelings about this song because on the one hand it's quite dated and shouty, but on the other hand it's also uplifting and could have really made an impact on stage especially if placed between ballads. It was a borderline qualifier for me, 6/10
9.5 it might be crazy to give it a high score but I love this song it's feel good and fun and yes I do think it would of qualified for the final so Well Done Ireland!
At last we the Irish have the best song in years and I believe that Ireland will and can hold the 2022 Eurovision BECAUSE We have the best Eurovision song for years ❤️
He was obsessed with Telemoveis/Portugal last year, yet was shocked it did not qualify. It ended 15th place in semi-final 1 So no he does not always speak the truth. 2020 weakest year of all time? I also disagree with that statement.
1. Romania 2. Israel 3. Russia 4. Serbia 5. Italy 6. Australia 7. Belgium 8. Ireland 9. Cyprus 10. Portugal 11. North Macedonia 12. Moldova 13. Belarus
I’ll give it a 6.5. It’s fun and retro, and I think it could have been strong live with the right staging. I do think it could have snuck into the final if one or more of the “bigger” acts choked on stage. P.S. I love seeing Edd back in action, and Suzanne getting more involved!
ed seriously has a weird music taste: giving roxen 3.5 and lesley 8.5???? not hating on ireland song cause it’s good but this he keeps suprising me with his rather strange scores
Part of me thinks he does it deliberately just to stand out from everyone else. Or he could just have a terrible taste in music 😂 but hey each to their own 🤷🏻♂️
Best entry since 2014 🎉🇮🇪 Ireland has been known to be robbed in recent Eurovision years. This most certainly wouldn’t have been robbed 😊 So happy to see Ireland making moves in the right direction. Really hope to see Lesley back next year with an even bigger bop 🎶🤞
Jamie Conroy 2014 was so meh and overrated, Ryan O’Shaughnessy was the best entry, Lesley Roy has a decent song although it would of struggle to qualify due to it was in the 1st half of the 1st semifinal
Nathan Cassidy yeah but atleast now there’ll be a clean slate and hopefully Ireland will get the second half of the 1st semi final as most qualifiers come from this section. I loved 2010,2011,2012,2013,2014,2015,2018 and 2020 I didn’t like 2016,2017 or 2019
Jamie Conroy I liked 2011,2012 2015, I loved 2013(Don’t get me started with the final result !!!) and 2018 (favorite song ever in music) and I really liked 2016 but sadly Nicki didn’t performed great and it was poor staging and I also liked 2017 god Brendan Murray should of qualifying that year :,(, Ryan is my inspiration I’ve been the biggest fan since his voice audition and together is a masterpiece
Nathan Cassidy yeah I loved 2018 it’s really been my breakthrough to loving Eurovision, I’ve been watching since 2010 but 2018 was really the start for my love of ESC. I was very young watching Ireland qualifying from 2010-2013 and I don’t really remember the competitions but I do remember being so sad from 2014-2017 watching Ireland fail for so long and then...2018 came along and I was so happy but then we sent the sham of a song that was 22. Sarah was such a good singer and they gave her THAT to sing??? They should’ve picked a song like 2020 for her and she would’ve smashed it in the Grand Final. Ireland 2020 is my favourite Eurovision song of all time in ESC. The lyrics really can be related to by everyone and people (like Deban in the last video) that say they don’t like it aren’t getting the full meaning from the song.
I think saying it's a 8.5 but it might not have qualified is not a contradiction. I sometimes say stuff like "It's such a cool song but please don't listen to it, you won't like it" to my friends. Just because I like it doesn't mean I expect many others to like it, too.
Yes Ireland. I love this song 7 /10. Not a surprise Ireland is my favorite country. Always on my final since 2009. I just love Ireland in Eurovision. By a French. And yes I love Ireland 2019.
Sorry Deban but I disagree. Ireland did a really good job. You have to stay polite. you have to accept people have an other opinion. You're really being negative this year. This is not the weakest year at all! It's better than revamp Alcohol You. It's pure fun. You don't have to think about it too much when it's on, you just have to dance and have fun. It doesn't HAVE to be serious. What's wrong with dated? Dated doesn't mean bad! I don't get the issue there at all! I agree with William and Ed here. My 6TH. Underrated AF 9/10
6.5/10 - My #12 this year When it first came out I was super excited but it kinda stop when I listened to the live performance 😅 But I still like it, as Edd said it takes us back to good old times 10 years ago and it feels great. I think it would have struggle to qualify maybe 11th or 12th of their semi (would have qualify if in SF2) Hopefully Lesley will come back next year 🤞🏼 Deban is so angry atm 😂 Saiying that this is the weakest contest ever I mean... 🙈🙈
Anybody saying Ireland could have done better? WHERE!!?? This song is f###ing amazing like how dare anyone call this song a flop WAKE UP PEOPLE ireland is Back and yall are scared and that’s just the problem #watchout
Why would you be angry at someone for having a different opinion about a song? :) This is what makes Eurovision more colourful, that people like different entries.
heeeeeeeeeeey. Blonde Katy Perry. I mean it. This could easily be hidden in the middle of *googles Katy Perry albums*. This is a nice happy little song
I only disliked this video because of Deban's absolute rubbish coming out of his mouth, Our entry this year was actually better than ever. I'M SO ANGRY!!!!
It's not a winner but the song is up beat a happy song but here is the issue Deban judges based on looks he was all over Bilal, Luca, Eleni, Tamta if you ain't a color singer, got the looks, body you ain't in Deban good side. He is so biased had an eye looking guy sang this song he will be all over him
Deban just because you call it weak doesn’t make it weak. A 4 is just rude and you seem to have some problem with Lesleys song for some reason. It is not bad. Bulgaria’s has a message too. If Ireland sent that song you would’ve said the same thing and you would’ve loved Bulgaria. Do you can have your own opinion but by no means was it the weakest in 15 years 😂😭 that statement was actually the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time 🤣 There’s a lot of songs under this one for example: Israel’s song is good but it goes nowhere The Big 5 is one of the worst in recent years in my opinion Slovenia is just not good The Netherlands is good but it wouldn’t do great as it’s in the Netherlands and countries in their own never do well Belarus is a knock-off 2019 Cyprus is another electro pop sound song like the last 2 but it sounds cheaper Sweden sounds like always a big song with cheap staging and white lights Norway is just a big song, she has an excellent voice but a better song was needed There are some clear ARTISTS this year: Latvia 🔥 best since 2015 Lithuania 🔥 best entry from them in my opinion Ireland 🔥 best entry in recent years (and yeah there would’ve been good staging 😒😏) Malta 👌 soulful. Bulgaria...we all know she would’ve won and she deserved it 💯
I’m with Deban. I’m tuning out too. I don’t have a problem with the message but the song is awful. I rank this at 41, the worst song in the competition. Dreadful video too.
