It's time for our first glimpse of what this year's performances will look like on the Eurovision Song Contest stage! On Friday, 7 of the artists performing in the Second Semi-Final had their second stage rehearsals and afterwards they chose a 30-second clip to share with Eurovision fans. I'm so impressed by Norway. Gunnhild's vocals are soo goooood! The performance might be pretty much the same as the national final, but elevated by this stage and the energy is insane, can't wait to see the whole performance on Thursday! Hope they at least qualify, but I really really hope they get a top 10 or rather a top 5 in the finals, they deserve it! My personal favourite since the Norwegian national finals.

For people wondering what NORWAY'S song is about 🐺🐺 Ulveham (meaning 'Wolfskin') is a modern interpretation of a Norwegian medieval ballad "Møya i ulveham" (The Maid in Wolf Pelt) which tells the story of a young maiden, who is transformed into a needle, a knife, a sword and then eventually a wolf by her evil stepmother. It ends with the stepmother, pregnant with a child, being pounced on by the wolf. To lift the curse, the wolf drinks her stepmother's blood, which contains the blood of her unborn half-brother. The song opens with a traditional kulokk, a herding call traditionally used to summon livestock, sourced from an early 20th-century recording featuring folk singer Marit Jensen Lillebuen. I have never followed the Eurovision contest as much as this year. Just because I fell in love with the song of Belgium. I didn't know Mustii but now I am listening his albums on repeat. I am sure that he will deliver on the night of the semi and go through to the final, it's the best song for Belgium since City lights. My idea for the staging is that there is a lot of emptyness now where the night itself it will be filled with a singing crowd, like bringing the image of the recorded voices to life. United by music, literally! I just hope that there is something more on the visuals in the back. Still hoping for a good result for Belgium 🤞

@@YaelBewford Yes, I am Belgian but mostly not preferring my country's song. Different this year, I just love it and I am glad that I discovered a great artist too. If I am not mistaken, 2017: Blanche with City lights: 4th place in the finals, could have won with a good staging. Sennek didn't qualify the year after, according to a lot of people a great song (not a big fan myself). But I have the same feeling this year as I had with City lights, a quality song (my kind of music) and a great performer, even his voice wasn't on point in the first performances, he nailed it in the last repetition video.

No particular favorite, but I just wanted to note that the staging this year is incredible. The stage itself is really good and way more versatile than last years version, allowing better concepts. The camerawork is choreographed way better than last year. Especially in Liverpool, the artists weren't really able to fill the stage because of its architecture as well as the camera favoring wide shots, which do not mix well, but this year, there is a stage presence I last saw back when the stages were tiny in 2005. The props are way more spectacular, too. Even the screens look like they have been improved in quality.
