The doTERRA Evolve 2021 Convention opened with a wave of exciting product launches and rousing speeches by doTERRA's founding executives and other company leaders.
Founding Executive and CEO David Stirling opened with a stirring speech to a receptive crowd. He focused his remarks on the progress of doTERRA-how far the company has come since its founding in 2008 and lofty goals for the future
Dr. David Hill spoke next, he spoke about the chemical properties and benefits of the various types of basil, which doTERRA has researched extensively, before announcing Tulsi (Holy Basil) as a permanent product. He then announced a new Copaiba Touch, emphasizing the benefits of specialized delivery, soothing irritated skin, and improved skin resiliency. This highly popular oil had previously only been available as a single oil. In speaking about the OnGuard line of doTERRA products, he asked the crowd not to be surprised if they saw changes to the line in the future. He then announced the new OnGuard+ Chewable Tablets to a roar of enthusiasm and euphoria. An even louder roar followed when he notified the crowd of the Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc, and Beta-glucan included in the formulation of these new tablets for even greater immune support.
A new product in the Deep Blue line-the Deep Blue Stick-was announced with flare, as Founding Executive Emily Wright exclaimed that a more convenient way to apply Deep Blue "wouldn't just fall out of the sky, would it?" At her words, Deep Blue Sticks, outfitted with parachutes, were dropped from catwalks high above into an ecstatic crowd. The sticks can be used to apply Deep Blue in a similar way to deodorant or sunscreen sticks, making it more accessible for athletes to use during games and in other situations where the messiness of applying Deep Blue Rub had made it difficult in the past.
Building on the excitement of the product drop, Emily then invited the crowd to open a mysterious oil pouch that they had been given when entering the Vivint Arena. Immediately, the arena was filled with the exhilarating and familiar scent of Vanilla as audience members rubbed the small amount of oil on their hands and inhaled. Despite Vanilla essential oil is one of Wellness Advocates’ most common requests, doTERRA waited to bring it to the market until the company found a sustainable sourcing partner that they could trust.
Again mentioning the popularity of the On Guard product line, Emily then introduced the Abode Home Care line, which fits into a new Household category of products, intended for cleaning and diffusing purposes. This blend has been infused into a line of household products, which includes lotion, hand soap, surface cleaning spray, liquid dish soap, dishwasher pods, and laundry pods.
A heavy emphasis was placed on the measures doTERRA is taking to ensure that production and shipping practices are sustainable. Rather than relying on single-use plastics, the Abode product is packaged in PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) and recyclable aluminum containers that can be transferred to permanent glass containers. Concentrate cleaners are used in the Abode product line to minimize the wasteful practice of shipping cleaning products that contain up to 90% water.
Lastly, the products in this year's convention kit were announced. The products include the new products announced earlier, and a few gift oils: Osmanthus Touch, Hygge Cozy Blend, and an exclusive limited-time-only diffuser with a concrete base and glass top.
