Thank you so much for making this video. None of the "professional" reviewers ever mention any of these issues. As someone who is considering buying this car, this video is incredibly helpful to see what the car is really like. I really appreciate that you took the time to document all of this and share the honest real experience.
It might be because they don't drive the cars for a long enough period to experience these faults. It might also be because their cars actually work better. I've driven my own Enyaq for 40000km since January 17th, without any problems, so some of them actually work as they should. :)
Awful. It looks like the car was not fully developed before release, and Skoda cannot blame the chip shortage for that. Now I understand why the dealer in York, UK, restricted my test drive to 15 minutes. Thank you for posting this.
I have had my Enyaq since May and have fortunately not had so many issues. The Infortainment screen has stopped 2-3 times. The roof problem was fixed by the servicesenter after a week. I agree the map is not the best, but not totally useless. Verry satisfied with this car 👍
I also had/have a plenty of issues with my car. I bought an Octavia iV last year and it has been a bit of a frustrating experience. Only 6 days after I bought the car I was bombarded with error messages and the car lost power all of a sudden. Max speed was about 20km/h. Luckily the dealer was nearby. Turns about the engine control unit was defective. Had to wait about a month to get a replacement ECU from the factory. Every time I charge the car I get a warning message on the dashboard. Dealer said it’s a software issue and I can continue charging. So far I haven’t had problems with charging. Takes a while for Skoda to fix this as it’s an year later now and I still have the error. The AC stopped working twice. Both times the issue was that the freon was leaking. The dealer thought they fixed it the first time. The second time it leaked they discovered a broken component that needed to be replaced. The infotainment system would freeze often when using Apple CarPlay. Since a software update that seems to be better now. I also get the occasional error messages but they go away quickly. In terms of build quality on the left passenger side I often hear a rattle when going over bumps. Almost like they forgot a screw in the door or the window is not properly attached to the door. Reported this to the dealer, they said they fixed it but I still hear it every now and then. Quite annoying though. The car pulls to the left. Two mechanics rode the car to check this issue. One said that the car does indeed pull to the left, the other one said there is no problem. Nothing has been done about it. I also recognise the issue with the sound system although for me it’s barely noticeable and I rarely hear it. I hope it won’t get worse over time. I was always a fan of #škoda but I don’t think I can trust this brand again after all the issues I’ve experienced. I hope they step it up over time. Good luck with your car. I’ve just ordered a Q4 E-Tron and one of the main reasons was I didn’t like the Enyaq’s software on the test drive. I just found it hard to use/understand. Watching this I’m glad I did. I know the Audi MMI is older but I’d rather have a car with well tried software - the Enyaq/ID 4 systems are just not realiable yet.
For the issue with the sunroof, which appen to me as well 4 days after i get the car and i was on holiday, i have get it back to normal work by closing it with the key and 24 hours later it was working as well. after one month no more stops.
That's just awful, I have a couple of other problems. 1. Distance and lane keeping fails, a warning sound and a message keeps playing over and over and over again making the car undrivable since its distracting and extremely irritating. This has happened twice. 2. Stereo volume can only be lowerd in android auto. (solution is to switch to radio, raise the volume and then go back to android auto.) This happens from time to time. 3. Rear parking radar freezes with a solid tone, regardless of what you do. Even if you get out of the car and lock it, it keeps beeping. This has happend twice. 4. Screen becomes unresponsive, just like in you're video. There is an update for the enyaq coming early next year, Accordning to an email response from skoda this will update the software, increase the loading speed to 175kw and give access to over-air-updates, just like the VW ID4. Overall I've driven my Enyaq just shy of 7000km and when it's working it's great, when its not....It's hard to justify the pricetag.
On point nr. 2. I also ahve the issue that sometimes the sound can not be adjusted when using AA. What works for me is pressing the "Google assistant" icon on the car screen and then press it immediately again. Then you can adjust volume again. Not really sure if this is an AA problem or a Skoda problem.

Thank you for the reply. Happy to hear that the Feedback will be passed on. As far as visiting a local partner, we have been there numerous times already. I do understand that addressing all the bugs in the software takes some time, however I do not understand that poor build quality(or poor quality control) is addressed(albeit the car in general looks well built) only after 5 vehicles in the same dealership show the same issue. Could you let me know what the reason for this is ? Appreciate the answer.

@@skoda No, we haven't sorted them. This is also one of the reasons why we don't post more videos-not confident we can drive longer distances. Now with winter there seem to be even more issues popping up(fogging of the windows, rear heating unable to turn on, Drive assist constantly showing an error). I was just about to buy an Enyaq when I saw your video and then had your issues confirmed in a Danish Enyaq forum on Facebook. Was your issues finally resolved with software updates? On a side note, I heard that someone from a dealership mentioned that only cars produced after week 48 of 2021 was going to get the upcoming OTA updates for the fast charging of 175kw update which is too sad.
To be honest, no, no issues have been resolved so far. I had one update which i have no idea what it was about to fix. Regarding the charging, would love to hear from other Enyaq users. I have tried now multiple times on different fast chargers and the best I can get is 80 kW charging(I have up to 125kW as per papers)
Hi ev thanks for y share the video. I have also skoda enyag iv 80 204 pk but what i saw in the video work in my car so good. Just until now i have another problem about charging. I hear from the delar where i bought when y full charge you can until 505 km can idrivw. But until now the max what i charged with 385 km. But better for your cat contact the delar than you can got solution atherways is not good for skoda name.
Hi. Haven't managed to ever see 505km on the range indicator. The best i get is 430km which then quickly realizes into average of 390km. Now in winter i am happy if I get 290 km(mixed driving)
I have had my Enyaq for a month now and I have noticed the screen freezing maybe twice. Other than that, fortunately I do not have the issues you have. I actually used the native navigation function when I didnt have mobile internet on my phone lol
As a proud Czech citizen, fan of EVs and someone whose intention is to buy Enyaq this year, I am pretty shocked about these issues. I would be totally mentally destroyed after all these issues - roof you cannot close? Horrible radio sound? Freezing screens? Come on, we're in 2022, things like this should never happen. I am still lingering between Enyaq and Model Y, but it's the lack of common features (such as 360° camera) in Tesla that direct me toward Enyaq. After your video it's a big bummer for me. Don't tell me I end up with some ICE or PHEV after all...
As i mentioned a few times, I am also a big Skoda fan(the whole family is). However the number of error messages and non functioning parts is just ridiculous. The fact that @Škoda reached out to me here and told me to write to them directly and then I haven't heard from them in 3 months is just to show how serious they take quality control and customer service. This said, I have the 360 camera and given the chance i would replace it for the "Guard" function of Tesla any day. If you have front and rear camera than the 360°option is a gimmick at best. Reading up about Tesla, they od have their own set of issues, however what Skoda has puts it in the "fault lead".
@@evfamily-fullycharged2561 You have no idea how much I hate to agree, but you're right. Enyaq looks great and is definitely a great EV, but the number of problems is hard to understand. I used to look at Tesla a bit disrespectfully, because they had strong position in AI and programming, but lacked the actual production quality, simply because of their short-time appearance in the field. So I was really looking forward to see the traditional carmakers hopping on this EV wave and electirfy their usually reliable and well-built models. What car should I buy now?
@@potvoramedia To be honest, when we decide to look for another EV it will most likely be either Hyundai Ionic or Tesla. At least those two brands seem to have enough faith in their cars to put the warrantee and build quality where their mouths are in complete opposite to @Škoda. Just as fun side note, it has been now already over 10 months that we have the Enyaq and it has been 10 months that my service partner is telling us(after 12 visits) that @Škoda is working on solving the software issues and we should be patient! I wonder if i can tell them to be patient when taking my money.
My Enyaq shows 34 000 km. Som issues with the screen blacked a few times are the only problems as fare as I can remember. Live in the north of Norway so hot weather is no problem. Sunroof works ok. I will check how my car is build....
Thx for the info and glad you don't have the same issues. North of Norway temperatures might be a bit lower than Croatia (32 C outside pretty normal - translates to 45 C in car when not in shade)
I was now for the x-th time at the dealership and they are finally going to change something(a box and the steering wheel ?!), however of course nothing is available at the moment. Hope the replacements fix your car!
I had intentions of buying this car. Seeing the problems you have I will pass. I am currently owning a Volkswagen Golf GTE which has more miles done in "towing it to the service" than on it's own power... really bad experience with VW group. I am fucking done with them and all brands under this group.
@@Banne7722 An adult can certainly sit in the middle., especially thanks to the flat floor and the space for legs. The comfort of the adult depends on how big the person is. But to be fair, you wouldn't put a big grown up man on that seat. I can personally sit there even for a longer journey with no issues though.
Not reactive-at all. To be fair, the dealership tried to flash the software again however the issue is the software they get is buggy and not thought through. So until Skoda releases a new update those errors are going to stay. And as far as the freezes go, majority of them is due to overheating when the car stands in the sun-which is where a car usually is as not everyone has a garage all the time available. The real indicator of how they are handling this is with the build quality. As mentioned on the video, Skoda told my dealership that they wont fix anything until the dealership has 5 cars with the same issue....
U have so much issues and should tell to skoda, those not all software based problems, screen was totally dead, not unresponsive. Also radio could fix with software update. I know it’s not perfect car, nor Tesla, but I’m also use mine 6month only 12V battery replaced, and lte connection disappeared for week, but nothing more issues.
I did tell to Skoda in July. My service center is waiting on a reply from them since then (despite chasing them). Same here on the channel. They reached out weeks ago and asked me to get in touch directly - which i did. Still waiting for a reply to my email and its been a few weeks.
@@evfamily-fullycharged2561 not sure if this is the case here, but noticed recently that e-mail systems at large companies are deleting more and more e-mails as "junk", this is such a problem by now that we call our corporate clients/contacts now to confirm our e-mails have reached them.
So at 1:21 I have already figured out what the problem is. VW is the problem. If SKODA was not owned by VW you would not be stuck with the garbage VW screen and software. SKODA built a good car that VW has ruined with their inexcusable junk.
