It's been a while since I've been back to Thailand and I'm flying Eva Airline Business Class to get there. This is going to be a cool trip because I'm going on a tour to see how the rice is cultivated and harvested. Thanks to, Think Rice Think Thailand, I got to experience such an amazing trip. :-)

Jason Wu is a renowned designer from Taiwan but resides in New York . He got famous especially after Michelle Obama wore his designed white gown at her husband first presidential inauguration party. He recently signs a contract with EVA Airways designing pajamas and slippers for Business Class passengers. You certainly can take the provided pajama, slippers, and amenity kit with you.

I really like these series. Mike is less guarded than Mark about disappointments, but in a courteous way that doesn't disrespect the airlines. Most of these airlines are good enough, but the experience being authentic is really a big big win in my view. Still, both reviewers are great.

Ah! Mikey you missed EVA ' s on board Lobster meal!!! It should be ordered at least 24hrs before departure. You ordered the Light Meal , that was why you didn't have the Full Meal!!

I flew EVA business class in March from LAX to TPE and it was amazing. As of March 2019, EVA participates in Pre-Check!

I am very impressed with EVA Air's business class product. Flying with them 4/5 times per year and always satisfied with the food and service on board.

Eva takes TSA-pre now! They didn't use to participate in the program; however, they recently announced that the airline will have TSA-pre stamp on the boarding pass.

I flew EVA Business a few times on a long 13+ hr flight from Cali to Taiwan and was right next to the flight attendants area. Got food on demand and as many alcoholic drinks as I wanted. Friendliest people and loved every minute of it! I went to go put on the pajamas and came back to my seat made into a bed lol. 10/10 would fly again. Only airline that beats it is Korean Air or Singapore.

There is a divider screen that pulls out between the two seats , it doesn’t close you off completely but you would only see the other passenger if you lean well forward to peer round it.

I was trying to figure out what Thai city you were visiting; I heard what you were saying as “Chow Mai”, so I looked up the “Think Rice” program and found their program is in Chiang Mai. That is a really great city with an awesome night market! Hope you get to travel there again in the future.

Usually there is a western and eastern option. The food is sourced based off the origin of your flight, so if you are leaving from NY you should always choose the western option (lobster and seabass) and if you're leaving from Taiwan, you get the Taiwanese food.

You know you could have ordered the lobster too, right? I’ve fly EVA often in their royal laurel cabin and will order two different entrees if I didn’t like the first. They are very happy to assist their customers. Love Taiwanese hospitality

Thanks, for the post! EVA is the airline I use to go to Vietnam from San Francisco! I've been fortunate to fly in business class 1x on EVA from Vietnam to SFO with a layover in Taipei & I can't recommend it enough!!! I got the Royal Laural menu (the food was delicious) with the endless Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame by the glass (which alone made it for me) !!! My amenities kit was Rimowa with everything else you mentioned too! Strange that you didn't have a privacy divider for your seat???

You can't compare deluxe ECONOMY with BUSINESS class though. I guess I usually fly on US based carriers a lot and the food on Eva is so good by comparison.

Mikey, do you ever get looks when you slurp your food, depending on the location? I know in northeast Asian countries, slurping is polite, but in many others, it’s not. Just curious if you or anybody else has ever run into any issues with that.
