I see myself in Eva. I was married 8yrs of domestic violence. I found the courage to divorce his ass. I feel better moved on with my single life. I'm more happier now cause I found myself.

Gary's comments were both ignorant and insensitive. NOTHING about domestic violence is funny and quite frankly he's too old to be this stupid. Kudos to Eva for taking that brave step to leave that toxic relationship with her Ex and prayers for current girlfriend to do the same.

Why is Gary the host laughing and trying to make a joke out of domestic abuse? Nothing whatsoever to laugh about especially with a victim/survivor of domestic abuse. I’m glad Ricky intervened and took over the interview as it’s a serious and sensitive issue. There are so many victims of domestic abuse dealing with this in silence and secrecy. It’s not a joke!

Being in a abusive relationship is terrifying.Gary should've apologized to Eva, and Eva is a strong woman to leave the relationship.

I'm glad Eva found the courage to get outta that situation and do better for herself and her child. No woman deserves to be treated badly or physically emotionally or mentally abused by any male!!!!!

I was so confused as to why Gary was joking and laughing. I didn’t know if this was suppose to be a serious conversation or not until Eva started telling her story.

I'm a survivor dealing my ex husband the physical, mental, emotional abuse. Leave when its time and never go back.

Eva is so strong to have endured that kind of abuse and was able to move on with life find love, get married and keep a career. Some women are so broken they repeat the cycle of abuse over and over again, and it's hard to bounce back from that when you constantly dealing with abusive realationships. Kudos to her for telling her story and raising awareness about domestic violence. For women who are in that situation make an exit plan to get out of it, make sure you plan and reach out to someone you trust. That domestic hotline is a good resource pull on all of your resources. You are special, you are worthy, you can rebuild. God bless you.

Hearing Eva talk about it made me crying hearing her say it got worst while holding her child .they need to keep his ass in jail.

Been in a similar situation and now currently trying to co-parent. It gets tough and she is right on how embarrassing it is especially when you are the last person people would think it would happen to. Prayers for Eva

Wow tears came to my eyes!! My dad beat my mom all the time when I was little ...I still remember police being called and me and my brother having to go to grandmas house in the middle of the night..I remember being so scared of the sun going down cause I know my dad was coming home to hit mom I would be so nervous I would bite my nails I would literally shake and look out the window then when he came home I would run down the stairs and hug him in Hopes of him forgetting to hit mom( in my mind as a child)..my brother would jump in between to fight my dad at the age of 6(can u imagine that😢)even tho I was a daddys girl I wanted my mom to leave and i remember me and my brother had to be the ages of 4(me) and 6( brother) telling mom ..let's stay with grandma we dont have to go back mom pleasee!!! But finally she left and we all felt free in ways u couldn't even imagine!!! So please LADIES and MEN leave just leave it's not worth it especially when u have children u might think they dont know but take it from me i STILL remember and I'm 36 now😞 but as time went on and now we are grown with familys of our own we all forgave him and my dad apologized and we are there for each other and we have moved on from the anger ,resentment,embarrassment.after all I only have 1 mom and 1 dad and I will be there for both of them as long as they are living❤I hope I helped someone!!!

Lived through this with my daughters father and put a complete stop/halt to this before she was born, but it is VERY REAL and VERY TRUE that you can be with someone that (to the world) looks like and up-standing individual and behind closed doors is a complete MONSTER and they have a certain charm/finesse to how they do things... I would advise you to RUN!!!!! trust me, those "I love you's" are coming from a manipulating place because they neeeeeeeed to hold onto that control.

I am about to cry i went through abuse relationship when I was 18 years old. My ex hit me in my head because we was argue and he was dry his shirt it burn he blame me for me for it and also his mother had one year live from breast cancer i was holding my son. I hope men and women get out abuse relationship

The man I was dealing with recently had violent tendacies but he was verbal abusive and I left before it got worse

Before she had me crying I was sitting here thinking about how beautiful she is and how i LOVED watching her on Top Model. Cried when she won and here she go having me crying again! But seriously please keep speaking the truth so woman can get help. Some men like to prey on the strong more than the weak so there's nothing be ashamed of. It just means you intimidated him and he wanted to break you so be proud of the strength that must have frightened HIM and the courage you had to leave!

Thank Eva for stepping up and let us know, because of lot of us don't want anyone to know what was is happening to us personally, I was in an abusive relationship with my ex girlfriend, it was abusive in anyway possible way you think you can think of, mentally and physically, emotional, my mom used to say that I am the only one that knows when to Walk away, and I did eventually. I am good and getting better every day. Thank you.

I’m glad Eva is doing good now. God is good! It’s scary how you can end up with a mentally unstable person that convinced you to have his child. Only to verbally abuse you everyday for years then become violent. Just like Eva, I never thought I could end up in a hell of a situation but I finally moved out and my life turned upside down for the better! Only thing that is going to happen is you could end up dead or in jail for finally defending yourself and killing the monster. Leave ASAP!!

I am glad she mentioned that men go through this, also! Please people realize men get dogged too in many ways in relationships. I am a woman and it hurts me to know and admit that I have wicked sisters out here, but, folks, they do exist. So please ,men, speak up and out!

I was the last to walk her out the door and we hugged and kissed as she told me she would be back in the morning. I awoke to my grandma screaming and my aunt saying is she alive? It was the city morgue calling.The moment has been etched in my memory and has never gone away. I had just turned nine.
