i just searched this song because my teacher gave me that song on piano(fuga i mean) and the beggining chords sounded familiar and i didnt know why. then insted of playing the notes one by one i started playing them together as a chord and then it instantly came to my mind (this happened like 5 minutes ago7:46 am) thanatos is also one of my favorite songs(sorry for bad speling my english is bad as im from greace and the education hear sucks a bit any way

Honestly this melody contain the deepest melancholy and sadness I have ever encountered and also a lot of complicated feelings of inability to and mixed of all sorted of feeling !
Hands down the greatest Japanese movie, and probably best movie period. The Great Dictator, Casablanca, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Godfather, Tenshi no Tamago, Grave of the Fireflies, Schindler's List, Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Ghost in the Shell, Se7en, American Beauty, Inception, Your Name, A Silent Voice...both the Americans and the Japanese have created the finest masterpieces of film ever conceived. And despite all these masterpieces, the only movie I feel I can give a 10/10 after watching is End of Evangelion. Phenomenal developed characters, intriguing storyline, impeccable writing, complex thematics, and symbolism in every single frame. Truely perfection.
As a film buff, I would say that EoE is masterpiece, animated or otherwise.. If it somehow was able to stand on its own, it would be considered an animated classic. Alas, the subject matter is too heavy for mainstream audiences, and you need to have the context of the series to understand. But, even I was introduced to Evangelion by EoE, and I was stunned by the images and feeling. And I came back for more. EoE is a masterpiece on all fronts in my humble opinion
When they announce the end of the world and put up the countdown on TV. I will sit the night before, with a glass of red wine + vodka, and listen to this on repeat all night long. The night before the end of the world.

R.i.p neon genesis evangelion. You will always stay in hearts of the people who adored watching this anime. You will never be forgotten by us. We will remember the day you first came out and the day when you ended. I wish they could have made one more movie about you. Like how shinji and auska become couples or maybe ayanami who knows, well that’s if your creators decide to make another one and I hope they will. Any way my point is we will never forget you. Never
