This is gonna be bad for Florida. Hurricane Beryl hit us in Houston, and we were without power for 2 weeks. And, tree was blown down and really damaged our roof. Branches hit our cars. All of our fences are down. So, it was bad for us. We had to sleep in our car for a few weeks until we got things starting to get back together. Very depressing. Don't know if I can go thru more Hurricanes. In my opinion, this Hurricane Helene is gonna be much, much worse for Florida than what we were hit in Houston -- lot STRONGER of a storm. I am so scared for them.

Sadly, it's kinda par for the course for us down here. We're preparing for the worst of course, but we go through this at least twice a year. Weirdly enough, my real concern is all the cruise ships out in the gulf right now. I have friends that took a cruise to cozumel.

Guess what...My insurance denied my roof replacement as well. It looks worse than Beryl. Beryl looked scary to me, strong winds, heavy rains. All my neighbor fence got fallen. It took 2 months to get back to normalcy

@@Rathkryn It IS a hurricane. But the center will be far enough away from Tampa, which is not in the cone- so Tampa will only have Tropical Storm conditions. She wasn't predicting. She's just a typical hypester weather whack.

Us Floridians know that anything under a cat 3 isn't too much of a big deal. Then, when the storm hits land it weakens exponentially. The only threat here is the possibility of a cat 3 developing... But since the storm is so big, I don't see that happening - I mean, maybe. Yes, the rainfall, especially in those areas not typically equipped for it, may be at risk.

If they say the hurricane is going to be a major disaster and it ends up being nothing, no big deal. If they say the hurricane is going to be minor but ends up being major, then they're all going to be brought up before Congress having to explain why they failed.

When will the USA sped small parts of thrir money to stop all the hurricane damages. I think in my little ideas that creating artificial ocean across Africa Sahara desert to the Mediterranean sea will be the best way to stop the dryness of the wind that causes hurricanes. It will help Africa to return to vegetarian areas, it will help to reduce the earth temperatures and create nearness between Asia and the West.
