A Combline filter is generally used to cover a range of frequencies while attenuating frequencies above and below the desired band. This one covers 2 MHz while attenuating signals 20 MHz either side of the center frequency by about 70dB. The term 'combline' describes the use of of resonators side by side in a comb-like structure to achieve the desired result.

Hi Jim.. that instrument looks more like a vna than spectrum analyzer. I use to use Agilent 8753E. Tuning simplex and duplex units. Can you do it with that instrument as well? Thanks 73's de K8KEM David in Ohio

David Eisenberger Well the DSA815 used with a bridge or directional coupler is not a Vector Network Analyzer since it does not provide phase angle information but it acts as a Scaler Network Analyzer which is still useful for many measurements including rf filters, duplexers, etc. Vector Network Analyzers can be used for scaler measurements but provide even more information including phase angle and complex impedance information.
