You or bill Simmons should do a segment on the most valuable 8-18,000,000 ranged contracts(not counting players on their rookie scale contract)Most valuable contracts in the modern nba now with them new CBA
People are sleeping on Tre Jones at PG, just like people were sleeping on Andrew Nembhard. I can't wait to see how the Spurs improve the team around Wemby, man that guy is exciting.
@@Shortballa11 Starter level, at least, with no glaring holes in his game other than height. He's quick and can stay in front of his man, isn't afraid to get in the paint and rebound with the big boys, has awesome hops, a good feel for the game and even better rapport with Wemby. I'm on the outside looking in so don't know his approach to the game but it sure looks like he can play on that team.
@@808bAler so what would you rank him? Cuz I’d rank him a top 3 worst starting point guard in the league. And that’s not good enough considering how guards keep coming in and getting better.
@@Shortballa11 Even with the small sample size, I'll rank him 18th best starting PG, based on minimal research of existing starters. I'd rather have him than quite a bit of other dudes, especially older ones that have declining value. I guess we'll see very soon what the Draft provides and what trades will be made to make the Spurs better.
It’s called a standing desk, it raises up so you can stand while working, its a healthier option than just sitting in a chair hunched over your workspace
@badwolftx2139 There's gonna be a severe penalty. Look at Phoenix as an example..... The era of super super teams Is coming to an end. Teams are gonna have to a certain extent in my opinion go back to the old way of doing things like building through the draft.
It’s going to really hurt after the cap spike / smoothing. You’ll have contracts going up at a higher pace than the cap. That’s when teams will really get screwed.
Im excited for this draft too zack eddey goin to be a star player with crazy potential hes so slept on bro is a bigger faster yao ming he gets to a good team with a great culture like an okc his growth goin to be crazy
The thing everyone forgets...the Nuggets couldn't resign Bruce Brown, they didn't have his Bird rights so they couldn't offer anywhere near what Indiana did
Wemby on the wing is nuts 😂 ... but its doable. I worry that they get 1 elite top5 player, w/o reaching. That one player is likely a PG or Center. It may possibly be by default, but best available will liklely fall there. Trading for the no.1 would be a monumental trade. But Sarr or Clingan is sooooo intriguing If the Hawks wanna improve 2x .. they trade the pick & take Best available at 4 & 8.. likely a mix of Castle, Williams, Clingan, or Saloun
Pretty much every analyst says Clingan is going in the top 3, before the Spurs pick, and he makes minimal sense with Wemby anyways. He can’t space, can’t switch very well, etc. He’s still good for this class, but he makes no sense for the Spurs.
If it stays the same I think it could actually go: 1 Clingan (Atl) 2 Sarr (Wsh) 3 Sheppard (Hou) 4 Risacher (Sas) 5 Buzelis (Det) 6 Knecht (Cha) 7 Castle (Por) 8 Topic (SAS) 9 Williams (Mem) 10 Holland (Uta)
I'd love these guys to do a deep dive conversation on the second apron. Seems like every video I hear something new about it. Like this video with the draft picks.
Cavs- I think garland and mobley are really talented. I think mobley has scoring potential to be a second option maybe even a 1 but needs to get stronger. With Allen there I think that protects him from having to guard the more powerful players . Because of that id rather trade garland than Allen. I like the way garland played being more of a play maker. You got to see what mobley could potentially be. But I'm not choosing garland over Mitchell I think you could get some depth pieces for garland. Clippers Lakers Twolves Orl Sins Could be some teams that could let g go some pieces in a sign and trade deal.
Because of this video I decided to go look at the highlights of Juan Nunez. I do not see it. This guy is as slow as molasses and nearly every shot I saw him take would have been blocked in the NBA. Deserves to be a sleeper for sure because his highlights nearly put me to sleep.😊
Stating the obvious, yes, but still: As a star player, the more money you take, the less likley you are to win a chip! Because the money you are taking will not be available to pay for other great players' salary!
This draft class is so bad and bronny is still the 55th pick. No wonder he decided to skip another year of development in college. Might not get drafted other years.
I feel like the Clingan stock inflation narrative has been pushed to overdrive. I feel like he won't even go in the top 5, it's just a bunch of smokescreens from all the teams trying to hype a player they don't really want.
Juan Nunez = Kendall Marshall. I love passing more than just about anything else, but he isn't going to be able to survive in the NBA. Philadelphia could just take Jerami Grant into cap-space for a pick or two.
Do you think in a trade between Hawks and Spurs they can try to add Dejounte Murray somehow? (Popovich is in love with him after his Spurs past). The problem is I don't know what Spurs can offer in exchange to match salaries. But they would adress the PG problem (Murray) , the wing position (Risacher) and Wemby at C. That's a great core
Ive been saying for 2 years. Bring Allen or Mobley off the bench. Its literally not difficult. Surround them with playmaking and shooting. My god what a dang concept
I'm not sure that if I were a team offered the number 22 pic that I would then give up three picks in the second round. I think you would have to really be in love with a player and be sure that there was no chance he would still be around when you were going to pick. In this draft if you were really in love with a second-round player you would probably just take them in the first round.😊
I hope the Spurs trade number 8 pick to the Utah Jazz for the 10th pick and number 29 pick and with the 29th pick select Bronny James; so we can watch Bronny embarrassed the Phony * goat when Spurs play the Lakers just think of the sellouts to watch that Phoney * goat can also relive the losses to the Spurs as World Champions when he was with Cleveland and Miami
DRAFT WILL STILL BE SOLID. It’s the NBA. And EVERYONE will lie about the low coverage. REAL KNOWLEDGEABLE BALLERS AND STUDENTS OF THE GAME KNOW THAT EVERY DRAFT MATTERS, and every draft produces talent.
@@Shortballa11 that's brain dead given anyone who carries a franchise still has ample support. He plays with a team full of non-shooters and non-defenders. It's a team game. And still, they were a different team the last 6 weeks of the season, nearly 500, big wins over Denver and OKC. He's a top 10 player right now. Very easily.
@@genesmith3582 spurs won 22 games lol. How small of a sample size did you take to get that .500. And carry means that when it’s time to show and prove you step up. You can argue that Victor is top 10 talent. Bt there is no way he is carrying a franchise regardless of teammates better than. Gianni’s, Jokic, Luka, Embiid, Shai, Tatum, Brunson, Curry, Ant Edwards, Durant, Lebron, AD. That’s 11 right there. Who you taking out? I’d prob rank Vic right at 20 next year.
@@Shortballa11 well, I told you the sample size: the last 6 weeks of the season when they started beating some good teams. They started the year with Sochan at point and Collins at center..... The last Lakers/Spurs game in LA, go watch it and tell me Wemby wasn't the best player on the floor. He's beyond elite defensively, look at his on/off splits.... and then has to be doubled or tripled at multiple spots on the floor. And he's an elite passer. 23/11/5/4 in 30 minutes 2nd half of the season.
