You know I knew William was a terrible father but I kinda hoped he would be a tiny bit better. He didn't seem to care that his children want to make their own footsteps and not follow his. Anyways he definitely doesn't deserve forgiveness. Its also sad how Mike was Liz's parent and Terrance was Evan's, that their parents weren't even really their parents.

First off: I called it, Michael is basically her dad. Second, this is exactly what I was talking about in the screenshots and last video. Elizabeth and Michael are the ones most against William and his “changing” (as in, the ones that don’t believe it) because they were the ones who had it the roughest from William. After all, you don’t exactly get fond memories of having your “father” beat you and then lock you into a closet. The reason Michael hates him so much seems to be about how William treated Elizabeth, who Michael is shown to be closest to and Michael takes care of her, which again, shows it’s closer to parental than sibling. Michael being proud of Liz for the score on her test, managing to guess exactly which test it was too, proves that not only does he care about her, but he talks with her enough to know these things, remembers them, and even remembers enough to nail down exactly which subject Elizabeth was proud of. Side note: William never should’ve had kids. Every child deserves parents, not every parent deserves children. Seriously though, I fucking called so much of this. William is abusive and neglectful, with Elizabeth and Michael taking the brunt as Terrance is the golden child and Evan is the sickly one that gets favoritism because William is just a terrible parent and person. Meanwhile, Michael is managing to be a good father to Elizabeth despite lacking a good example himself. I also love the sudden realization of “William didn’t raise us.”/“our older brothers were our fathers.” Also, Evan and Elizabeth giving legitimate reasons as to why they don’t trust William’s story because it *is* extremely convenient that his own story paints him in such a favorable light. Evan will likely be a more moderating influence on Elizabeth’s investigation as he doesn’t trust William, but he doesn’t have the same hatred (that we know of). It’s great having Elizabeth finally see just what *exactly* Evan caused in Michael. Before now, she’d seen the end result literal decades after this, but this is what Evan put Michael through in the time he put Michael through it, with Michael never having time to try and heal or even hide the damage. I definitely appreciate Evan having it thrown in his face, because with how things are with present Michael, it’s easy to forget sometimes, what *exactly*, Evan did to him and caused in him. And, given this is after Naomi’s death, Evan and Liz might even see past Evan tormenting Michael with visions of Naomi like we see in that one video. And now, Evan and Liz get to see why exactly Michael is so hostile with William, because they didn’t see this after their deaths. It’s also interesting to see how William doesn’t really seem to care about Evan… after all, if he really cared about Evan and his death, would he really be using it to attack the kids he has left? I don’t think William (or at least past William, not sure on present William) actually cares about Evan and Terrance beyond “they were mine” and how they could’ve benefitted him. And now? Evan and Elizabeth are seeing exactly the times that prove Elizabeth right, so there’s a possibility of someone finding the times that prove her wrong, but… would it really matter at that point? And it’s also great seeing Evan realize just how much of an effect his treatment of Michael had, after all, it cause massive domino effects, including how much it hurts Elizabeth which was something that, before today, I don’t think Evan ever thought of (and logically so, he’s a literal child). And now Evan and Elizabeth are realizing just how much their brothers/father figures blame themselves over their (the younger two’s) deaths. So, with all this: I can understand people wanting William to get better, but… He needs to do a lot of it before he even considers getting involved in their lives again, he can’t make up for his role in their deaths’, but he should at least try to find a way to make up for his role in their lives. Also, the ending was adorable and definitely provided more evidence about “Michael is Elizabeth’s dad” and even seems to have secured the “Terrance is Evan’s dad” thing too.
