Wooow... Am I the ONLY one on here, that is actually interested and intrigued by the intensity of his COOKING? Not something you see too many bodybuilders get into like that... Not to mention how entertaining/inspiring it is to watch a man THIS SIZE meal prep..
@anigeus ronnie actually is pretty liberal with his diet year round, he puts a ton of bbq sauce on the meats he cooks at home. Plus he usually eats out for like 2-3 meals a day. I would call that pretty good eatin.
i actually find it very interesting, I sometimes find myself just as interested in the nutrition aspect of bodybuilding as the actual training itself, and I'm always curious to see how these guys prepare their food
You can't know for 100% certain unless you get a bod-pod test where they weigh you in a tank of water and do some other stuff. You can get a good idea of whether or not what you're gaining is fat or muscle by (1) How you look (2) If you're getting stronger. If you're putting on muscle, that muscle will make you stronger. Also, water weight is a HUGE thing to consider. Your weight can change a lot without you losing a pound of muscle or fat.
ya he diets for a long time sometimes and his body gets used his body at a smaller level and when he goes back up for weight on the off season his body isnt used to the extra weight which makes things difficult like breathing running long distances is probably not how it was when he was in season his sleeping pattern probably changed too
This is what its all about. Some people think that they eat a lot ! Well check Evan out and see what you actually need to do ! Not sure about Mr O, but he`s the new white hope ?
@1038892 well "gear" is pretty much the key to get as big that he is..but as you say it takes alot more than just gear to get that big..such as proper food
hes breathing so hard cuz muscle takes oxygen to work. the more muscle the more u need to breathe in. backstage these guys huff on oxygen masks sometimes to get enough oxygen. just part of being a beast!
Perhaps it´s just me, but I think it´s very nice to see a pro bb that actually put some effort into making the food taste something rather than just doing the "ronnie-approach" (no pun intended) of slamming down some overburned steakes....
I know some asshole will say "Muscle is mostly water, so losing water means you lose muscle." In a sense that's true. But when I say you can gain or lose over 10 pounds without gaining or losing an ounce of muscle or fat, I'm talking about the actual muscle. The contractile tissue. The protein. And I'm talking about the actual fatty tissue. Not the fat + the water the fat is holding. Weigh yourself in the morning after you pee to get a good idea of how your "real" weight is progressing.
Bottom Line! At any Pro level, (which is less than 1% of people in the world) There is a huge commitment to stay in that 1%. Just from the simple fact that there is a Billion people who want your spot! Look at any successfull Business person or Athlete and you will see days like this video. Evan Centopani does this day in and day out....and roids might make the food work better...but they don't cook the food for you. I did 2 amature shows (no roids) and my whole life center around prepping!
I am powerlifting and I know the main goal is to gain strength, but I wanna gain quite a bit of mass. I have gained 3 kilos in 2 months. But how do I know whether it's fat or muscle?
protein is not a drug buddy and they eat alot because they lift alot the more you work out the more food you need the bigger you are the more food you need to maintain that weight
@AbLicea34 beef is expensive! lots of athletes mostly eat lean proteins throughout the day but a handful of servings of beef are great for your strength throughout the week. plus, you eat a lot of inexpensive filler foods like oats, potatoes, greens, and other great stuff for carbs. my largest food expense is proteins (powder and meats), supplements (vitamins), and fats (avocados, almonds, oil). everything else is very affordable for the week.
@chadley6916 than why are they illegal? where are the hundreds of thousands of bodybuilders that are dying every year? where are the piles of bodies that are just dropping like flies because i dont know if you have noticed but baseball players, football players, even cyclists take them (although it could just be the "bad meat"). Even lance armstrong has been linked to them but he's not a bodybuilder so he is still an "icon" and everyone forgot about that already
and also 2 of his meals are protein shakes even in pre-contest and he only eats 6 meals a day. while others eat up to 9 meals. the reason I'm saying this is because nobody gets more disgusting in the off-season than Ronnie Coleman and even uses real cheese in pre-contest on his grits. and the end results 8-times Mr. Olympia :)
sounds like he's struggling for breath, and he seems very uncoordinated when it comes to fine motor movements (putting the lid on a pot, setting things down, etc.)
This dude is the man saw him at the prelims at the Arnold Classic in Cbus today. He knows hes shit and better win tonight! But wtf is he saying at 1:42
@chadley6916 i said lance armstrong was linked to them. but there have been cyclists that have been caught with them. and when it comes to anabolic steroids they are number 147 or something like that when it comes to the killers in the U.S. Even multivitamins are ranked higher than them.
You ever see Julia Child dropping stuff on the floor, then whipping it back on the plate. 'Don't worry! Nobody saw that!' Class. A few microbes never hurt anyone. I travel and eat all sorts of weird shit and I can put away stuff that would turn you inside out. Stuff that woulf kill you just gives me the sh*ts.
@vtube007 perfectly said. millions out there want to be pro like evan and not have to work a real job, and work out for a living. fact is, 1 in every thousand will make it,
@turtleownage He's just got fat over muscle. He's not on roids man. My friend looks like that, and he's not on roids, he's just kinda fatty. Plus look at how young he is, I'm pretty sure he's natural.
@chadley6916 good debate. im glad we could argue like men without all the curse words and disrespectful words to each other. This topic will always have two sides to it. This is the first time i enjoyed debating lol.
@BlandiBoney he's a pro.Its common knowledge. He's probably aobut 300lbs at 5'11 in this video with good symettry..................if you have ever seen him in person you'd know he's using.I use,a lot of good friends of mine use.You can easily tell.
sadly, you're wrong. there has been laid out studies which indicates that individuals who don't train but supply with testosterone enthantate VS. natural people training, will gain more muscle mass regardless. steroids are not to be underrated
jaundice, nausea, diarreah, and even death. Im showing you that although steroids does have its cons, just like everything else in this world, it has become villainized and people have no clue what they are talking about.
