I met Evan in Reno during KOTR. He went out of his way to talk to all of us hanging out at the park. Not everybody on that KOTR trip was as outgoing and friendly as Evan, and that type of behavior really resonated with me. He is the realest, most down to earth guy out there. Much respect to Evan. My three absolute favourite things are how Evan Smith is such an inspiration to me, a positive-energy filled soul who likely does not care about what others think and is just focused on himself, being kind to others and expecting nothing in return, being an amazing skater and musician and human in general and seemingly having no negative energy or fears or anxieties. Likely everyone has these, but I look up to him a lot because he reminds me of the person I'm setting intentions to be. Lots of love Evan, would be an honour to see you in person one day.

His humility is admirable- he's been killing it for years, up for Soty last year. And drop some of the best parts. But spent the whole pillage thanking people. His hugs!!! His genuine love for skateboarding, you see so many pillages where skaters take so much. He took with the intent to give others and literally just skated with the people in the warehouse. Sup Evan. Met u at Vic Park, dc tour nz not long ago brother. Remember I gave u a cold Steinlager during the shop signing. Then you shook my hand with a hella grip and said thank you. From 5 seconds of meeting you I could tell you were the most genuine humble person and your bout that life. One positive human. that handshake and hongi ( which is touching nose to nose, traditional greeting Maori people do) and probably the first person to ever hongi you is worth way more than any prize ever.
