Evander Holyfield reflected on his incredible career, which saw him take on top contenders including Mike Tyson. Vlad expressed admiration for the breadth of Holyfield's career, which often gets eclipsed by his iconic fights. He also discussed the profound honor Holyfield must feel in having a statue erected in his hometown, Atlanta. Holyfield expressed gratitude to his community for this honor, as well as pointed out his induction into the Boxing Hall of Fame. Reflecting on his career and rivals, Holyfield shared stories about defeating a foe from his childhood and voiced respect for fighters who didn't showboat. Vlad wrapped up the interview by praising Holyfield as a class act, noting his resilience in the face of adversity.

Evander The Real Deal Holyfield the only four time world heavyweight champion and world class athlete in his own right. He is clearly a man of integrity and honor as so few are today with many great stories to tell. His hometown of Atlanta has honored him with a statue for us all to see when visiting the area

Jones said he wanted to fight Holyfield and he declined so Jones ended up fighting John Ruiz for the heavyweight belt. Keep in mind when you hear the "White guys can't box" stuff that there hadn't been a white champion in the heavyweight division (and rarely in any other weight division) for 40 years. Not since Rocky Marciano in the 1950's. The next white champions after that were the Klichkos in the early 2000's! (technically 1999). There were jokes about it in popular culture. "All I know [about Boxing] is, never bet on the white guy" -The Naked Gun (1988).

Actually, there we’re more white heavyweight champions after Marciano: Ingemar Johansson, Gerri Coatzee, Francesco Damiani, Tommy Morrison, and Frans Botha before the Klitschkos.

When i saw that title, the first thought that came to mind was Larry Holmes vs Randall Tex Cobb. That was a one sided beating. Holmes treated Cobb's face like it was a catcher's mitt and throwing nothing but fast balls. I wouldn't say that Cobb could fight, but he should've gotten a trophy for how good he took that beating by never going down. Back in the days of 15 round fights too.
