@@onetoeinthegrave6506Lewis caught the good fighters and real champions in their age not in their prime. Plus we all know Tyson wasn’t right or focused during their fight
@alphap9007 Always excuses, especially for Tyson,Lewis beat them both, and iam sure that with all of them at their peak,Lewis would have had the upper hand.
@@aleksthegreat4130 call it excuses or reasons, it’s facts, lol we all either know the history or simply can go back research or watch the documentary on these fights. Many champions wait and catch good contenders on their down slide, age (Holyfield) and as I said jr, we ALL know Iron Mike Tyson was not in his right fighting form mentally nor physically. lol I was at the Lewis & Holyfield field in the nosebleeds seats. Lewis team coordinated his career well in the end and caught breaks.
@@user-hp2yd2bx2k It ended up a draw, even though everyone thought Lewis had won easily. It was investigated as it was clearly fixed but all they could do is order a rematch. The rematch was a much closer fight, which Lewis won.
It was something. We used to get the big fights on Pay Per View and have a party. I remember watching Mike Tyson unload on Trevor Berbick live. LOL. Those were the days...
@@wanderer1955 True story. It had to be in mid or late eighties. There was a health athletic club on Phoenix Blvd in college park. I was there that day and working out , Holyfield had a promo that he was doing for a magazine out of Boston. We met and I ask him about a Tyson fight and how he thought he could win. We went through simulation of the fight---me playing Tyson and he showed me how he would attack him and beat him. Later on down the line , I watched it come to fruition.
@@wanderer1955 Tyson had been on drugs for years ,sat in prison loosing speed, was doing minimal training and was only fighting for money. Holyfield was on roids and his accidental head butts gave Tyson a concussion. You can watch it happen. Tyson while under Rooney and focused was undeafeated, through and landed more punches per round than anyone. He hit so hard and fast people over looked his defense which was amazing. Later Tyson left all that behind becoming a two punch head hunter but even then he did very well.
@@TonyEnglandUK Lewis took over from him. Lewis didn't fight him at his prime. Like he also too it from tyson. All time is tyson but tyson wasn't discipline. That's Y I'm giving it to Holyfield
Lennox Lewis is one of the all-time greatest boxers in the heavyweight Division Lewis had to fight the promoters, fighters dodging him and along with the fighters in the ring. Lennox Lewis came along ways himself to get where he did and beat every fighter he ever faced which deserves mad respect.. Holyfield was a Warrior and Incredible boxer he was not a Natural Heavyweight he was a cruiserweight Originally but moved up to heavyweight and would become Heavyweight champ and be a dominance in the 1990s beating Tyson twice in that and 3 great fights with Riddick bowe winning 1 of 3 much respect to him to. I will now say with both out of the way that was Highway robbery and Lennox Lewis clearly won that fight the Judges score was complete Bullshit.
Dios mío! Lewis era muy alto y macizo !! Tendría que haber boxeado en otra categoría, eso que Holyfield también es grandote pero al lado de Lewis queda chiquito 😂
My ear was used to hearing well-known judges like Chuck Giampa, Jerry Roth, Delby Shirley and Anek Tongtongkam. Here in this fight I found one unfamiliar name of the judges : Eugenia Williams. Stanley Christodoulou was a bit familiar, so was Larry O'Connell. The judge who scored 115-113 for Holyfield was that woman. Now, I can understand why the result was like that.
I honestly think it's time to get boxing out of the United States. The corruption in that country always makes sure the scoring edges toward their own boxer.
I really enjoyed Lewis's performance in this fight. He showed great skill but overall he never could bank on a knockout win because of Holyfield's concrete head and ability to still land some big blows. But yes it was daylight robbery. There is no way Holyfield got a draw out of it. As the commentators said "a travesty".
Iam sure Holifield knew it too. Holifield's my boy. But he should want a rematch and know he he didn't win that fight. There was a time You had to knock out or beat a champ pretty badly to win. But that was a clear win for Lewis.
Evander holifield... a pesar de su edad y desgaste por problemas en su corazón. Hay que reconocer que es un guerrero inigualable y una condicion física increible. Como pocos. Eso hay que destacarlo...
All I can say is these two great champions gave everything and to me they are both winners and champions, incredible elite athletes. Great Skills endurance, perseverance, determination and big hearts.
That laugh in Rahman fight costed him a KO. He deserved that punishment for that attitude. I am a fan of him, but was very disappointed with his attitude then. Fortunately, he took lesson from that fight and revenged in the rematch.
