I can't understand how the entire planet doesn't identify her as a vocal phenomenom. There's no one like her. not just the voice but the tone, pitch, range, timing, everything. The amy lee tone
I mean, they do. I've yet to meet someone who knows more than the "Wake me up!" meme that doesn't thing her voice is phenomenal. Any modern rock/metal singer will tell you she's got the best voice in the world.
I was thinking the same. I was 13 when this came out, so I wasn't mature enough to recognize how good it really is. I've spent the last week listening to it over and over. Attending to an Evanescence concert when they were in their prime had to be something else.
Simple answer is when you can actually sing (Amy Lee can) it's not hard to reproduce the sound. Most of the MTV Bimbos today have so little talent without tons of auto tuning they couldn't sing live if their life depended on it. But they can dry hump everything on stage. I guess that's a talent if you are into cheap talentless looking hookers.
Everytime I watch this I watch it at least 4 times minimum such a amazing voice and the fact she sounds almost identical to in the studio recording of this song so much talent
Literally incredible, identical, and even on some notes… better 😂😂 her voice has so much power and her control seems effortless… What an amazing artist.
I am a 55 year old 80's Metal guy, and I have much respect for this group, and AMY. Her vocals are legendary, but lets not forget the back up vocals. This guy is spot on!!!
for the small price of $29.99 I can send you the plans for your very own TIME MACHINE. (batteries not included), once you get there, please wake me up...
@Alessandro HV "This chick", f-ck off bitter loser talking like that about of the most talented, well-rounded and iconic female musicians in popular music
What you hear in the music video is also what you hear in the live performance, legit vocals. People who were there to watch them are so blessed they get to witness such performance from Evanescence. Watching in year 2022. ❤️
It's ironic that Amy Lee didn't want the background male vocal part but the record label did so she wrote and Paul from the 12 Stones sang it. Years later they still include it live.
I always said I wanted to see her in her younger time. But saw her at 02 last year and holy fuck, does it not make a difference. She is greater than ever and fuck has her voice just not changed. The effort she puts into EVERY SINGLE NOTE the entire concert is unreal. She's incredible.
Best showcase of her range is My Immortal. Absolutely amazing and deserves all the accolades. But the rock genre doesn't ask for that. They just sing their hearts out because they love it.
@@colinmacgregor8718 Definitely isn't. She has great technique and control over her voice. You can still hear a bit more strain and pitchiness on particular notes since shes moving around so much
@@DigiPal to clarify; the main vocals are certainly live. using backing tracks for harmonies and some instrumentals is a very common practice. don't try to use that to discredit Amy's talent here.
Can we take a moment to appreciate her gorgeous model like natural beautiful face 😍. Talent and beauty. I grew up listening to this music and over a decade later I still enjoy it a lot ❤
I have seen Evanescence in concert, and they, especially Amy, put on the most emotional performance I have ever seen. I already loved the music before I heard them live, but hearing and seeing them live took it to a whole new level for me.
I'm debating whether to go in November. Not a lot of bands left on the to see list from my teenage+ years of this era. Had they brought Korn to the UK on the tour, I'd have tickets already 😀
What a beautiful performance,I remember this a kid and it stills brings me the chills…she gives so much energy and full of emotions on stage that it’s exciting nowadays
My father sent me this song on the 2nd of June saying it made him cry everytime, he passed away a few hours ago, and now I'm the one crying while thinking about him, this song is beautiful ❤️
Sorry for your loss.. Amy's voice is one of the things that keeps me alive. I know it's too early to think like this but i hope in the future you can cherish the moments you had with your father while listening this song...
I got that 20th anniversary of fallen and it brought me back to my early high school days. And man, does her sound good on a good record player setup. I never really went further than fallen though so I’ve been in love with the song lithium, can’t believe I overlooked it.
the 2000s were the good old days! Amy is a siren, she totally hypnotizes. The Emo generation was soo cool. Songs had heart in these years, now music is crappy noise. Crappy mean less words
This is a clear example of how, in concerts, people were still not slaves to smartphones, and were free to have fun, move around, and make noise. Now all zombies, motionless with smartphone in hand for videos
What a great deep song a cry from ones soul to wake up but they are stuck psychologically and can’t wake up Wow. We all experience this May we continue to wake up into new states of being in 2024
Does it blow anyone elses mind that Amy Lee's voice sounds even better live? IMO she has a better voice than anyone I've ever heard and that's saying something
