I remember trying to watch this on Yahoo videos when it came out and we had the worst dial up connection ever so i'd watch it frame by frame every 8 seconds haha
i was obssed with this song when i was 14, even though nobody was calling me, neither were they drunk i'm now 21 and have just found this song again, but nobody is still calling me and they are neither drunk
If your ex ever wants you back, remember there is a chance they only want to, not because they still love you, but because nobody loves them. Stay safe out there.
Oh my God, you nailed that one ! Her, and older Linkin Park songs take me back, but make me sad in ways now that I recognize the plot/setting. Whatever ya wanna call it.
Yep, back in the day i was just vibing along guitars and the melody because i didn't understand english yet. 15 years later i am rediscovering my old favs only to find out that a) my angsty depressed teen self had a superb taste in music and b) now that i understand what all these lyrics are about i am so in awe about just HOW did i managed to pick EXACTLY this kind of stuff that turned out almost prophetic in hindsight
Don't cry to me If you loved me You would be here with me You want me? Come find me Make up your mind Should I let you fall? Lose it all? So maybe you can remember yourself Can't keep believing, we're only deceiving ourselves And I'm sick of the lie And you're too late Don't cry to me If you loved me You would be here with me You want me? Come find me Make up your mind Couldn't take the blame, sick with shame Must be exhausting to lose your own game Selfishly hated, no wonder you're jaded You can't play the victim this time And you're too late So don't cry to me If you loved me You would be here with me You want me? Come find me Make up your mind You never call me when you're sober You only want it 'cause it's over Oh, oh, it's over How could I have burned paradise? How could I? You were never mine So don't cry to me If you loved me You would be here with me Don't lie to me Just get your things I've made up your mind

Congrats! Be proud and fight the good fight every day. My ex had several years to seek help and never did...I could no longer take it and left...now he is sober he says...our youngest however says he is not. I really hoped in leaving that would wake him up to get sober and had the thought of maybe we would get back together. It's very sad on all parties...but just be glad you have overcome and still fight the battle. 💖
People always rave about Bring Me to Life, but I really think this track is their best work. It utilized Amy’s voice better and the music video is fantastic as well, her eyes really look right through your soul and you cannot look away from the video at any point.
Bring me to life is good but if we're talking about fallen then I gotta go with either imaginary or the last song off that album (I cannot remember the name and it annoys me). If in general i would add either made of stone, my heart is broken, or changes
One of their best singles for sure, but Amy and Evanescence have many great songs throughout their discography that surpass this one, including from the album this song is from, The Open Door
Amy Lee herself is underrated, but Evanescence videos are true masterpieces. They create a mood and tell a story in a way that is deep, powerful, and really just devastating. And even better, they do it without ever interrupting the song. SO GREAT, I just can't stop re-watching!
I agree with her eyes, that dress is cool too. on the fringe of Gothic. I'm no fashion guru, but that dress and the angel possessing it. almost overwhelms my vision. (that little giggle at the end). good for my eyes. my ears overwhelmed with the sound of that dark angel. I had to get rid of the CD when she sang about some guy she couldn't have. I think it was the last track. like I was insanely jealous! I'm a bit more secure now. I'm going to go buy it again. instead of just downloading it. I like to touch the CD & reading the liner notes & thank yous.
She might not right off the bat, Give her a week w/me & I'll be her's or she might find, I'm a hard nut to crack.... I would like to see if those eyes are real. That guys eyes are weird too. Amy, such a normal name, for....I can't even,...she haunts me !!! It would be weird to think I've entered people's minds that i' ve never met. Bless her.

This is such a real take of how addiction affects a lover. I've been through this (fortunately my person got sober). This is exactly how my side of it felt.
Que orgullo haber crecido en esa epoca donde la musica aun era musoca y no estaba inundada por la mier del trap.. talento puro belleza y arte esta mujer❤
I remember my childhood band played this song in music festival that everyone plays some old sophisticated classic rock music such a Dream T, Metallica, Mr. Big etc. We were not affraid to jamming out the Evanescene, full throttle with distortions, sequencer and passions. It was something else, and we end up winning that music festival show. Never felt so proud of my guys than that, it was special for us!
I was a freshman in college when this came out. Heard a familiar voice and looked up at the TV in the common room and saw this amazing dress, hair, makeup and yearned with all my heart to be her. 😢❤
This is truth. When I first heard this sentence it was nothing more than some great lyrics. But now, after more than a decade I know that this is a rule for understanding people.
@@oubeidhajji3430 correct. they were in a relationship and the only time Shaun would call her was when he was strung out on heroin. So she ended the relationship. going on to write the song.
When I was a little kid, just about 12 or something, this song started getting mad popular and that's when I declared Amy Lee as the most beautiful woman ever. 10 years later, I rediscovered this video today and haven't changed my mind. What a lovely woman and what an amazing song.
Awesome lol. You are right, this song was a huge hit. I was in High school (I think 10th grade) and around 16. I loved it then and I obviously, I still come back to it. It also never fails that if a month or even a week has went by and I have not heard it, I still get the same chills as I did in HS when I would hear it on the radio. It is a great feeling.
@@ThiccDiccSenpai I mean, you're here, soooo... Doesn't that kind of cast some doubt as to how metal -you- are? Seriously tho there's always got to be that one guy. P.S. L M A O that name. Yikes.
@@NoOne-us9xv I'm well diverse in all forms of rock to the heaviest of metal. I really like metal more than amy lee cause honestly name one video besides this one where she doesn't get wet.
Evanescence - After you lose a loved one, often you're gripped with a fear of evanescence, or the rapid fading from sight or memory of that person. Evanescence comes from the Latin evanescere meaning "disappear, vanish." Something that possesses qualities of evanescence, has a quality of disappearing or vanishing.
