I know this song has a meaning already, but I personally like to believe this song is dedicated to her fans. And when she says "your eyes are so blue" it's more like, "your eyes are so sad" Like I think a lot of us turn to her music to feel better and there are songs that represent us, we feel with those songs. She feels our pain. But, as she goes to say, she'll always be there for us. She's beside us forever through the music. But that's just my personal take on it. I really like the song.

I did a little research and this song WAS personal as a gift from Amy to Ben, possibly as a wedding song and it got leaked. A lot of Evanescence fans insist that it should be removed from the internet but as the rule goes: "what gets downloaded on the internet, stays on the internet forever." So, there's nothing that can be done about it. However, it's been over 20 years going on 30 and Amy & Ben have long since moved on and have their own families so I think it's safe to say that they don't care anymore and what's done is done.
No it wasn't, Ben's fans made that up. Amy never said what it was about, she wrote it as a young teen and only for her close family and friends. It was not meant to be public, it was leaked years later. It had nothing to do with Ben, who dated her when she was an older teen in high school and he was her abuser that she wrote the Ev songs about abuse on.
