Thanks man. I tell it like it is. Lol. It was one of the best times in my life and also one of the worst (at times). I have stories upon stories. Lol Anyway. Love back at you from Massachusetts. Love the hell out of the first two albums but personally wouldn’t have performed this single for tv. Imagine they had pressure on them for this. And what exactly is mans on guitar doing with his right hand on the neck 🤨
We recorded 2 songs that day. COLD "BUT IM STILL HERE" and over. CDUSA wanted us to lipsync while they filmed. This was a staged hired audience. Kevin wanted to do it live instead of lip syncing. COLD, which i have a copy of came out terrible because of the backing vocals so this one published. Although the first 2 records were good. The band was terrible live. I should know. I was hired as the touring drummer for the first record after the original drummer quit after 2 shows realizing the band just wasnt ready for the road. Anyway, im the drummer seen in this video. Maybe ill post cold one of these days.
@@Laynemyers I just watch an hour long interview that Kevin did about his career. And he said the first drummer left because his girlfriend wanted him to stay home and be brought up how that girlfriend wanted nothing to do with him till the band got a deal and all of a sudden she liked him. lol Kevin also said they basically kicked him out of Evans Blue while they were still on the road and they just left him somewhere and he hasn’t talk to none of them since. He clearly seemed better about the band. I remember meeting him once after a show in Montgomery, Alabama they opened up for Taproot. You may have been the drummer. I remember Kevin acted stuck up like he didn’t wanna be bothered. Lol Everybody else in the band was cool.
@@nimitz1739 Yes I was the drummer for that show in Alabama and youre correct. the whole band was cool except Kevin. The first drummer quit the band while in Boston, he had his mom drive down from toronto in the middle of the night and pick him up. He left a note for the band in his hotel room that he left. I met the band the next day and left with them as their new drummer. I didnt know any of them but the band I was in at the time was being looked at by their record label so I was asked to meet with the band and did. Kevins ego was always an issue. I remember being in Michigan, I came off the bus in the morning and there were about 10 young kids (12ish years old) standing outside the bus waiting for autographs. the whole band came out to meet them except kevin. I went on the bus and told him he needed to come meet these kids and his response was "im to busy". He was sitting there watching tv. He wasnt busy at all. I said dude, get your ass out there and say hi. He said " dont owe them anything" he never went out. I wanted to punch him in the mouth that day. What an asshole. I have many stories like this. We went at it a few times because of how he acted. On the bands WIKI page they mention they only brought me in for the tour but thats a lie. They asked me to be a permanent member and I even moved to toronto to start writing and recording the 2nd album. Kevin was always an issue and ultimately I couldnt deal with him anymore so I quit and went home. I was the 2nd drummer that quit mainly because of his ego and attitude. The band and management knew he was an issue but moved forward with the 2nd record and 3rd drummer. who also ended up quitting. Finally the band had enough and threw Kevin out (like i was saying they needed to all along) and got Dan and yet a 4th drummer. I have stories upon stories but i dont feel like typing forever. Anyway, Kevin was a good writer and singer but wasnt a very good human. the rest of the band was cool but Kevin was ALWAYS a Primadona to a point it was embarrassing to the rest of us.
