Hello, can you please make a video about tesla spare! I just got flat tire yesterday , it was around 7pm here in Hollywood Florida, call tesla, they don’t provide spare anymore like they did before, so the only option at that time was to tow it to tesla service, now if tire is fixable they charge $110 plus tax if not fixable which I am sure 90% they will charge you $495+ tax! So I had to Jack my Tesla Y take my tire out and take it to 24 hour tire shop, after they put some garbage tire that fit my 19” rim I drove it back to my Tesla Y and put it together, cost me $70 at 10:30pm. Which I consider not bad, early in the morning went and purchased used tire for $70 continental original, great condition and put it on! Total combine spend $140! Still not bad considering taking Uber from tesla service home and back to them in the morning plus $495 per tire! If you can tell my story and experience I would appreciate it, maybe many other people will consider to purchase spare to save money when bad moment comes! Thank you!

Thought this was a very fair review. My Model Y is very hot in the sun and the glare from the sun through the roof is very annoying. I sometimes wear a hot to block the glare. I've had the MY for 2 1/2 years now and use a single piece window block (like you showed in the beginning of the video) every summer. It makes a big difference. This share that you review, needs some refining, but I think I would consider it in the future. Appreciate your review and trying to be objective!

I had the same rationale - my Model 3 panoramic glass is beautiful, but I felt the radiant heat on my face and head when under direct sunlight. It actually gets uncomfortable pretty quick. I can live with losing some of the panoramic view for comfort AND added efficiency.

The real question here is, does all of those added things make noises when normally driving around?

I wonder if Tesla will come out with a darker tint or someway to reduce the heat.

I put in a front shade only, of different manufacture and it wasn’t an assembly process, just a straight forward sliding in process which took less than 10 minutes and it’s better aligned than the model you chose. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone living in subtropical or tropical environments

Leave them up in the winter, they improve the acoustics of the car and also help with energy efficiency in winter as they are well insulating during those cold and sunless days!

They need to slim those bezels and that roller needs to be fluid with magnet locks. If they can fix that I'll buy it

Hard to believe Tesla doesn’t offer a super low profile shade system from the factory. Why do Teslas have to be such a DIY Pit?!

The general concept is good. But I can’t understand why the bezel needs to be so large on all 4 sides. It really shrinks the sunroof. Between the size of the bezel and the price, looks like a nope from me.

Do I see a door ding on the lower part of the drivers door, and a scratch on the front of the rear quarter panel? Oh no! Interesting product but I don't like how much of the glass the frame covers and how it lowers the head space, and it just costs way too much. But if I got it for free, I'd probably install it too. Honestly though, I'd still rather use the foldable shade inserts.

I got to experience the heat last week in Redding in my brand new Y and something like this would save some battery since I did eat up a bit of battery trying to keep the car cool, below the automatic heat protection Temp. While the car was parked.

That thing is HUGE! 🤣 I appreciate you reviewing it, but i cant imagine anyone wanting to spend money on this, unless they have a really big aversion to bright sunlight.

Where Are You Now?

Hi. How long did it take you to get these shades when you ordered them ? I ordered mine from EVbase and it’s almost a month ago and still no tracking number. Very hard to reach them and they are not answering my emails. What a mess.

I just got the recent software update on my Tesla Model 3, here is some of the information provided to Full Self Driving customers -- "release notes 2023.7.30": - Improved short-deadline lane changes, to avoid going off-route, through better modeling of target lane vehicles to improve gap selection assertiveness. - Improved handling of oncoming cars on narrow unmarked roads by improving prediction of oncoming car's trajectory and leaving enough room for them to pass before re-centering. - Improved VRU (?) control by Expanding planning scope to control gently for low-confidence detections that may interfere with ego's path. IF YOU CAN EXPLAIN HOW THIS IS DONE, ACTUALLY PROGRAMMED I'LL GIVE YOU A DOWNPAYMENT ON YOUR NEW TESLA!

Since the Y doesn’t have the center bar do they have a version for it?

Tesla needs to use a Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) smart glass to block out the sun with the push of button... I mean, icon.

Why have a glass roof just to cover it with cheap after market junk. My MSP Sun shade goes on in one minute for those long Summer drives, but no way to this tacky insert.

why do people rave about these glass roofs? WE ARE DRIVING! WHO CARES! glass roof is so dumb, even more on an EV. i wish tesla would stop with all this glass. there is nothing effcient about it, and its highly uncomfortable! with that said, that mesh thing you are holding in the beginning of the video doesnt do jack spit in vegas. i am considering one of these setups, wondering if one could use both of them to block more heat.
